Default lots to lose

I'm new here, & I have approx. 132#'s to lose. It seems so overwhelming, but I am trying to take it 1 day at a time. I know I can do it, hopefully with support from everyone here at 3fc. I am looking forward to sharing my journey here.

There are alot of us here who have a lot to lose. Each pound lost is a victory in and of itself, that can't be diminished by how much is left. Or at least that's how we should feel, though it isn't always easy to feel that optimistic. But this is a great place to vent, visit, and learn.

Hi shesinthere!

If you check my stats you will see that I was where you are when I began my weight loss journey. It's taken awhile for me with some major slip-ups and stalls over the years, but I am finally getting to where I want to be.

Be prepared to find out a lot about yourself in the process. I have been shocked to discover how much emotional baggage I have when it comes to FOOD! People talk about "calories in and calories out", but I have found that mostly for me it took me finally accepting myself as a smart, worthwhile person who DESERVES to be happy and SLIM. Once I LOVED MYSELF enough to care about how I looked and DO something about what I didn't like, the weight loss process became SO much easier!

Good Luck! If I can do this, YOU can do this!!!

Cheryl

Hi and welcome!!! Glad to have you on board. And yes, you most certainly CAN do it. Though it may be difficult at times, it is no where near as difficult as being morbidly obese. The rewards far outweigh the sacrifices. By a real lot. Good luck. Looking forward to getting to know you.

I know it seems overwhelming at first, but as the pounds come off and time goes by it really begans to feel like it's much more do-able! Good for you for taking this step and coming here, the support here is phenomenal! Hope to see you around !

Welcome!! It seems overwhelming but those little losses each week add up quickly. I remember thinking 110 pounds seemed simply insurmountable when I first started this, but I broke it up and thought...I only have to lose ten pounds eleven times. I can do this. And I'm doing it -- 28 left! The time will pass, you'll make good choices, you'll come here for support and meet some great people, and you'll have fun along the way.

You've taken the first step, now just keep taking them - one at a time, and before you know it, you'll be at goal!

So glad you decided to join us. This journey is truly one-day-at-a-time...sometimes, its even one second at a time! But, you can do this! If you've not already taken a look, I recommend reading through the NSV thread and the One reason thread as well as the Goals and Mini-goals sections. These threads are extremely motivating and helpful.

Welcome, welcome!
You can SO lose 132lbs!!! Just take it one day at a time (but don't fall into counting how many days because that will drive you mad and make it seem impossible).
Just remember that the time will pass and you can either be losing the weight or not.

Hi shesinhere!

I think to myself that if I had started last August like I had planned, I'd have been at least 50 lbs down by now. Now that I'm so committed, the slow but steady progress seems so long and overwhelming. But I do know that if I don't start now, a year from now I'm gonna wish I had started today.

We're all with you. By the end of this month, you'll be so pleased.
