Satisfying Plan Food???

  • What food on your plan satisfies you the most? I am just curious to see what people are eating to satisfy thier hunger without going off plan. It might help the rest of us if you list how many calories they are?

I know for me I think this veggie curry I have been eating is really satisfying and I have about 300 calories from a 2 cup serving.
  • I have two chicken drumsticks and 2 cups of mixed broccoli stir-fry veggies in a curry sauce and around 3/4 to 1 cup of rice for dinner most days, and it leaves me very satisfied. I never need to eat after dinner, even if I don't go to sleep until 6 hours or so after dinner. It's very satisfying for around 430 calories.
  • Most of my dinners are very satisfying...

I've created a healthy lasagna with Whole Wheat noodles that's just to die for...and 1 piece w/ a salad is only 450 calories! Awesome dinner when you're craving pasta!

Also, spaghetti squash - minimal cals and so very yummy!

    Hi Celina!

Care to share your lasagna recipe? I LOVE lasagna!
  • yeah, ditto. Where do you get ww noodles? What brand? I don't think I have ever seen them. MMMMMMMMmmmmmm
  • Mine has to be breakfast.....oatmeal, the quick cooking kind on the stove. Enough breakfast to satisfy me for only 3 WW points, and it sticks with me all the way to lunch. I'm sure without it I'd need a snack in the late morning! Oh, and it's also nice and warm on a cold morning!
  • My best meal is breakfast - I've been making "mock pancakes" it's a South Beach recipe. Soo yummy, it's got ricotta, egg whites, vanilla, cinnamon.. and if you make them thin they are like having crepes, only high in protein! I am definitely having them tomorrow morning!

  • I could live on my 2 favorites:

    1) roasted vegetables (squash, mushrooms, zucinni, bell pepper & purple onion) and chicken breast on whole wheat pasta.

    2) stuffed bell pepper (extra lean ground beef, brown rice, diced tomatoes and lots of spices).

I don't count calories (I judge portion sizes) so I don't know the caloric weight.

Yes!!! Please do share! Thanks in advance!
  • A recent discovery is to mix frozen fruits (berries, or smoothie mixes) with rice or oat milk and blitz with a hand held blender and you have a kind of sorbet that has no sugar and is fat free - when I get the ice cream urge I have this instead and it's usually around 200 cals for a very large portion.

That sounds really good....I have a weakness for ice cream! I will have to try this! Thanks for sharing!
