This method of judging foods was developed by Barbara Rolls, PhD, in the Volumetrics Eating Plan. For your convenience, we provide the Energy Density level for most foods.

0 - 0.6 = Very Low Density
0.7 - 1.5 = Low Density
1.6 - 4.0 = Medium Density
4.1 - 9.0 = High Density
