I’ve made this dish multiple times. My husband even likes it!
This dish was really good. It doesn’t even taste like a diet food. I did modify the recipe a little bit. I added 2 TABLESPOONS of garlic, 16oz of mushrooms, used light margarine (40% oil spread), and added about 2-3 Tablespoons of low fat parm cheese………..mmmmmmmmmmmm! (oh yeah, with those modifications the calorie content is 320, 53g carbs and 5.4g fat per serving)
I made this for dinner for my meat-eating husband and he loved it. It really is fantastic. I also added just a little parmesian cheese, but it is good with or without that addition.
Absolutely delicious! This is going in my permanent recipe file.
This has become one of my all-time favorite dishes. Just smelling it cooking is an olefactory feast. I have used Brummel and Brown in place of the margarine and always make it with chicken broth (as a substitute for the wine). I’ve had numerous requests for the recipe.
I made this tonight and used stock. Mine felt like it was missing a little something, but I think that maybe it was because I didn’t add the chives. I think an onion flavor would just put it over the top
I will DEF make this again and again!
