Bread Recipes
Plain white bread is fine for breakfast toast or croutons, but there are many other types of bread which can bring variety to your meals and make a simple sandwich more elegant. Most breads are low in fats, but fiber and nutrient content varies. Read the nutrition labels, or make your own breads with added ingredients to boost nutrition.
Avoid croissants or brioche and enjoy English muffins or bagels. When making your own muffins, substitute applesauce or prune puree for any oils. They will be moist and usually more delicious.
