Green Beans with Tomatoes and Black Olives

recipe ingredients
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
6 large ripe plum tomatoes, peeled, deseeded, and coarsely chopped
2/3 cup dry white wine
1 lb green beans (fresh or frozen-thawed), sliced in half lengthwise
12 pitted black olives
2 tsp. lemon juice
salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste

recipe directions
Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Add onion and garlic and cook about 5 minutes, or until soft but not brown, stirring occasionally. Add remaining ingredients, except salt and pepper, and cook over low heat about 20 minutes, or until sauce is thickened and beans are tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve immediately.
