Chopped Salad

recipe ingredients
1/4 cup nonfat sour cream
3 Tbsp. nonfat buttermilk
3 Tbsp. chili sauce
1/2 tsp. prepared horseradish
1/2 tsp. salt
fresh ground black pepper
1 cup diced carrots
1 cup diced red bell pepper
1 cup diced cucumber
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped sweet onion
2 oz sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded

recipe directions
Combine dressing ingredients (first column) in a small bowl and chill until serving time. Just before serving, toss dressing with chopped vegetables. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired.

    This salad was easy and quick to make. I used salsa instead of chili sauce and it was zesty, crunchy and flavorful. I think you could change the veggies out with others that you prefer. I would also cut the onions smaller than recommended.

    This salad was very good, however, I would strongly recommend making sure you use the sweet onion. I only had a regular onion and is was too strong.
