Chocolate Apple Bars

recipe ingredients
1 cup whole-wheat flour (less 1 tablespoon)
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup cinnamon flavored applesauce
1 small apple, peeled cored and finely chopped
1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. golden raisins
3 ounces quick rolled oats
1 ounce semisweet chocolate mini-morsels

recipe directions
Preheat oven to 350*F. Spray a 7×11 inch baking pan with cooking spray and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine flours, salt and spices and set aside. In a large bowl, beat sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Gradually add the flour mixture, adding alternately with the applesauce until blended. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread evenly into prepared pan and bake 30 to 40 minutes or until golden. Cool completely on rack before cutting into 12 bars.
