Cajun Shrimp Chowder

recipe ingredients
4 cups skim milk
2 cups diced, peeled, potatoes
1 tsp. Cajun seasoning for seafood
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cans no-salt-added cream-style corn (14 ounces each)
1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined

recipe directions
Combine the first five ingredients in a Dutch oven, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer the milk mixture for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the corn, and bring to a boil. Add the shrimp, and cook for 2 minutes or until shrimp are done.

    I tried this out and added more cajun and salt and pepper. It still seemed a bit bland to me. I am going to tweek with it and tell ya what I come up with. Hubby liked it though!

    This was a very tasty soup. It was a little thin for chowder, buy just a little cornstarch slurry tightened it up nicely.

    My boyfriend and I tried this one and it was delicious. We added some green onion to it for a garnish, used red potatoes with the skin on and because my boyfriend prefers spicy foods we added some Cayenne pepper to it. IT was yummy.
