4 ripe nectarines or peaches
1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
1/2 cup nonfat ricotta cheese
1/2 tsp. ground star anise
Cut the nectarines in half and remove and discard pits. Arrange the halved nectarines, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Stir the sugar into the ricotta. Spoon the mixture into the hollow of each nectarine half. Sprinkle with the star anise.
Broil under a medium hot broiler for 6 to 8 minutes, or until they are hot and bubbling. Serve warm.
