Diet Concerns
Well, I have officially lost about 38 pounds on this diet. Problem is that I am starting to get worried. I am looking around work, seeing these skeletons that are my co-workers. Most of them seem to be so thin now that they look unhealthy. My cousin, who has been on the diet off and on for several years, looks like she needs to gain weight. Of course, my cousin is walking several miles a day, so maybe that is why. I don’t know.
Almost everyone I have talked to that lost weight on the plan at work, seems to think that now that they have lost the weight they still need to lose another 10 or 20 lbs. They don’t realize that the place they need to lose it, is not going to come from diet, but exercise.
I’ve lost about 6 inches around my waist. Which is good. My hips have lost around 4 inches. I’ve lost some around my arms and thighs too, but I am seriously concerned that it’s muscle not fat.
I have an exercise bike now, and some other exercise equipment, so I need to start using them a little more often.
I am really starting to worry about this low carb, no sugar diet. It’s mostly meat and a few veggies. My best friend asked me to stop using it and he would send me the diet that he went on before his weight loss surgery. I have had several people start to express concern at my mostly rapid weight loss. I started in the middle of March. It’s been almost 3 months, so I don’t think it’s that rapid. However, the more I read this book on diet myths, the more I am worried that I am really only losing water or muscle.
