Lost four pounds :)

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

Weigh in yesterday and I lost four pounds, taking me up to a total of 51.5 pounds lost!  Looks like it’s possible for me to be at 12 stone by the end of the year after all.

Of course, I seem to have followed that up by doing nothing but eating all weekend.  I am so my own worst enemy.  I’m going to follow points really strictly for the rest of the week.

On the positive side, today I both went to an aerobics class and went for a swim.  I think the swimming is just what I need- it’s got to tone my arms a bit, and when I used to swim three times a week was the only time in my life I actually had abs. (well, visible ones.  Of course I’ve always had them…)

Only half a pound

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

I weighed in today and I only lost half a pound.  I know it’s better than a gain, or even a stayed the same, but I really want to lose another stone by the end of the year (14 pounds) and I’m kind of running out of time.

In better news, I’ve tried on the dress I want to wear to the Christmas party this year.  It’s my graduation dress from 2003, and it’s a generous size 12(UK).  Well, it fits.  Still a little clingy in parts, so losing another five pounds or so will only improve it, but it definitely fits and it’s definitely wearable.  So three cheers for me on both counts, I have a dress that fits so I don’t need to buy something new, and I now fit something I’ve been keeping in my wardrobe since about 2004 hoping to fit it again!

I think now the weather is colder I’m not drinking enough water anymore, so that’s my aim, to drink more water this week.  Then hopefully I can have a decent loss next Saturday.

Luckiest weight watcher alive…

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

That’s me.  Despite having spent last weekend in a beautiful Italian city, where I seemed to do nothing but eat pizza (and believe me, it was GOOD pizza!) I lost three pounds at weigh-in.  Very happy.

This week I’m going to a reunion for my old work. Am very happy that I’ll be wearing a size 14 instead of a 24, and weighing 13 stone instead of 17; nd yet I still feel flabby and fat.  Not really looking forward to it at all:(

I am going to the gym tomorrow with a friend from work, it’s just the motivation I need because since I ran my 10k, I’ve really got out of the habit of exercising, and exercise could be just what I need to tone me up and get me feeling a bit fitter (well, that and a boob job/tummy tuck).
