I hear you. Comment spam sucks. The english muffin looks delicious! When I first read your title I though Mmm.. english muffin stuffed with spam?! Yum! lol But I didn't realize (at first) that you were referring to a different type of spam lol

Thanks for the suggestion Jenn! I already bake the post-service treats about every six weeks. I've held off on the chocolate chip cookies because those are what a 12 year old member of the congregation makes when he bakes something. So I try to bring other treats - which is where I've learned some limits around things that "tastes like more". I can enough willpower the night before when I bake since I have to have the treats to take to church. But I need to work on willpower with the leftovers... But every other month I have a perfect excuse to bake something tempting and practice my will power.

I'm looking forward to Lent this year. On my plan I have given up so much in the food category that I am going to offer my time instead and spend more time in prayer. I was reading your previous blog entry, where you were talking about cravings and how you couldn't make things like your cookies without eating too many of them. Why not go ahead and make a batch, set some aside for yourself (1 or 2 helpings), then give the rest away at church or to your neighbors? It'd be a great way to promote fellowship and friendship. =)

Stay sunny!

Awesome! Sleep is essential for feeling good and for losing weight. I need around 8 hours to function properly, how in the world do you manage on four??? You're doing an awesome job of losing this summer. You'll hit Onederland ini no time. I got there in May and it feels sooo good. No way your doctor won't be very impressed. That first 10% loss does wonderful things for all those numbers (BP, cholesterol, RHR, etc.)--you'll enjoy this physical. And the last flashes. I was about 52 when mine started. They were never awful, it was just annoying to break out in sweat in the middle of reading a story to kindergartners. I toughed it out without meds and they were all gone in about 5 years. Good luck!

"What a magnificent combination of rudeness, laziness, and incompetence" this has been my experience with Delta EVERY time. I take them only if I have absolutely no option. I am SO GLAD the cabin crew and pilots are better. What a scary (and frustrating) experience.

Chocolate was definitely earned!
