The First of Many!–All the info! The #s, the goals, etc!
General 1 Comment »So! This is my first daily weight-loss-journey blog entries of many to come! I am a 21 year old student and have been on this over-weight roller coaster for too long, and its time to get it under control. Last year I was on a great path to weight loss and lost 20+ pounds and went down two clothing sizes. But when I got back to school and normal dorm life, I gained all the weight back (the college 20, if you will?) and went back to my exact same weight, 227 lbs. Because I lost weight recently, I KNOW I can do it, and better than before. But I think that this time, if I have a blog and track everything online I will feel more accountable and responsible for my actions. I’ll know that whatever I eat has to go on my blog, which definitely will make me more conscientious.
I feel like this is the best time in my life to lose this weight because a) im at a school with a free, excellent gym, and b) i eat at a dining hall that has tons of healthy food choices and a really wide variety of everything.
I plan (hope to!) post on this blog every day in order to track my food and exercise progress. I dont consider this a diet, I consider it a change in eating and exercise patterns for a lifetime. I do plan on working out 5-6 days a week which is something that has definitely worked for me in the past.
So to start off:
I’m 5′4 and 227 lbs
My goal weight is 125 lbs which is a total weight loss of 102 lbs.
I know that if I stick to my actual plan, that I can really do this once and for all. I also need to start planning out Mini Goals, so hmm i guess I should set my first one:
By Feburary 11th, I’d Like to/ (I WILL) have lost 10 lbs, and be at 217 lbs. That gives me a little more than 5 weeks to lose 10 lbs. 2 lbs a week, totally do-able if I stay on track with exercise and everything.
For my first big reward thing, WHEN i lose 50! lbs, I’m going to buy myself an iphone. Something I’ve really wanted for a long time. And something I should only buy when I deserve it.

Also, if I’m slow on posting, and seem to miss a day, you can bug me to post, because sometimes it might slip my mind or something, but I definitely should be posting!
