Hey All….

I should be studying right now for my exam on Monday- urinary elmination and Infection.  I am tired of listening to my teacher drone on about infection on the online lecture–  I like it when we have face to face lectures instead…. Ugh-

I weighed in again today with another sad gain… 0.4 added to my 0.8 last week equals a 1.2 lb gain in the last two weeks… I have been married two weeks too!  I just need to plan, plan, plan & track, track, track.  So far I have track all day… still have some to go, but you get the idea.  I have planned on giving myself a daily reward for tracking-  This week it’s 30 minutes of pleasure reading if I succeed.  :) :) I haven’t had time to read a good book since I started the accelerated nursing program started.

How are all of you doing?  I hope better than I ….  I know I am not giving up if I feel lazy and tired about weight loss/exercise lately!   I am so happy and excited about other areas of my life…I wish I had that feeling again about weight loss!  On a positive note- I have lost 60 pounds since I started this in Aug. 08.  SWEET!!!

The wedding was this weekend.. 11/7/09.  Wonderful day if you ask me…. LOL
The weather was awesome and it seems like all the guests had a great time, I know I did!  I got to marry a wonderful man.  I have started the name change process and that is going so much easier than I thought it would!  Yippie….

I’M Alive!

Hey all-

I haven’t updated my blog in forever!  :(

I have been adjusting to my new schedule at nursing school.  I think I finally have a handle on that and the overall unknown of it all-  We don’t have a real regular schedule.  We are in clinicals now-  We just finished our 2nd week!  I feel really unsure all the time, but I am enjoying it overall.  The class portion is A LOT of work because it is an accelerated program.  We do topics in a day that the traditional program does in a week-  I thought I knew what I was signing up for but I really didn’t!  Some of the 32 students have kids, and jobs… I don’t know how they do that!  I don’t have either… I just have to find time to take care of me and my fiance!

The wedding is in 20 days!! I can’t believe how excited I am…. :)  Most of the big stuff is done- I am just doing all the little DYI decortating projects I took on for myself.  I am working on making candy bags for favors right now so i have bags upon bags of hersey kisses in the house!  It was hell last week….  I have a goal for this week so I have been able to avoid them!  :)

While I was gone I have really been maintaining around 190-  For that past 6 weeks I would lose a bit, gain a bit, or stay the same at my meetings.  I think that is pretty good considering everything I have going on right now… I am not going to lie-  I know I could have done better, I haven’t tracked that whole time!  My goal this week though is to track-  That is all… I did all day yesterday so I am on a roll!  :)  Also I am going to go back to blogging at least once a week-  I love being able to look back at all my previous success and troubles… for that 6 weeks I have nothing to look at because I didn’t make time to blog-  Honestly, I haven’t been making time for myself, but I am going to now.  It is important-  How can I be a GREAT Nurse if I can’t even take care of myself??

Well, I have to plan my shopping list for the week!  I am going to get some healthy choices that are quick to make!  I want to make it easy on me ya know-

BIG NEWS!!!

SO I am know I am super lame because I have updated this sooner after we got back from the trip, but I have awesome news!!

John asked me to marry him while we were in NYC… He proposed when we were on the 102nd floor of the empire state building!  I of course said yes…. LOL  I was so excited and happy!

We have set a date of Nov 7, 2009 because we both agreed we didnt want a long engagement-  I am not in the throws of planning a wedding that is rapidly apporaching on a tight (i mean tight) budget… I am going a bit crazy with planning and it has only been just over a week…. ahhhhhhh….  I feel better now… I am pretty sure I have the places for ceremony and reception set just need to get money from my fiance and mom to pay since I have no money to contribute…. Yikes!  You all know I am starting the accelerated nursing program in about a month- John said I couldn’t use my loan money at all so I got nothing…. LOL  That is what makes it difficult…

We are going to see his mom this week and I hope she offers to contribute… Maybe she can pay for a dj as they are really expensive!

Good Morning!

Sorry I didnt update about the new gym sooner!  It’s great!!  Love it!!  :)  We have already gone 3 times this past week-

So my birthday present (belated) is almost here…. My DBF is taking me to NYC tomorrow for the weekend!  I am so excited because it is going to be an awesome trip-  :)  He picked and made reservations at a restaurant we are eating at on Friday before we go to see Chicago-  It is a romantic restaurant I hear…. :)
We have lots of exercise planned as well as we are doing some walking tours of downtown area and Greenwich village.  Each tour is like 2 1/2 hours or so-

I took new measurements this month-

  • Arm 15″ -1/2″
  • Bust 45″  -1″
  • Rib Cage 37″ -1/2″
  • Upper Tummy(roll) 42″ Same
  • Waist 39″ - 1 1/2″
  • Hips 47″  Same
  • Leg 23 1/2″  Same

-3 1/2 inches overall-  :)

Hey All-

I am nervous about my weigh in this afternoon…. I ate well during the week except yesterday… Of course the day before a weigh in….  I hope the scale doesnt show a gain!  :)

My boyfriend and I are shopping for a new gym membership-  We are going to check one place out tonight after my meeting… I am pretty sure we will go with this one based on price and what is included…  Most of the group classes are included-only spinning is ext fee per class and they have a pool!!  I will be so happy to swim again… LOL  :)

I will update after weigh in…. :)

Im back… I lost .8 this week bringing me to 195.6 getting close to my next mini goal of 189-  6.6 lbs to go… 

We def. decided to join this gym it is awesome compared to our current gym and it is only 5 minutes away where we were driving like 15 minutes or more to our old gym and they just moved 2 miles further away  which is why we started shopping a whole month early… we are on contract thru aug and paid the last month already we just want to start at this new gym right away…  i have never done any group exercise classes and normally around here they are all extra so that fact many of them are inlcuded is good.. They have a zumba class i want to try and they do have a few free rides for spinning as well just not all of them are… so I can try it out first. 

We are going back tomorrow when the membership coordinator is there so we can sign up… it will be 59 for the both of us which is 20 more but we are getting so much more and it is so much closer… that is the college student price for two in a household.  We looked at ymca but it was soo expensive we could t swing it…  plus there classes are mostly for additional fees-

~Howdy All~

I havent posted in a few days, but I have had some good news. 

My birthday was on 7/15 and I had a great day!  :)  My boyfriend made me a cake!  It was his first time making one and I thought it turned out great!  Very moist…. He actually isn’t the one who cooks in our household… LOL  I still made dinner but I let him help which I normally dont do.  Then we just stayed in and spent quality time togehter- no tv’s or computers on.  :)  For my present he is taking me to New York City for a weekend in Aug.  He bought the plane tickets already and booked our hotel.  We leave on 8/7-  I can’t wait!  I have not been before- 

My weigh in was on Thursday 7/16 and went well…. I was down another 1.6 lbs which was great considering I cake with lots of frosting!  :) 

Yesterday we spent the day in a little tourist town called Frankenmuth.  I have never been and it was soo fun.  We took an hour long tour cruise, checked out the historical musuem, had and awesome dinner, and checked out a bunch of the cool shops.

Hello!!  :)

I just got back from my WW meeting about an hour ago-  I have a fabulous weigh In with a loss of 4lbs this week which made my weigh in 198.6.  My mini-goal was 199 so I beat it!!!!!!  Yippie!!!!  I am so happy as I am been s l o w l y going for this goal now for 2 months… I feel great! 

I took some new progress pics today so I am going to let you take a look at what been changing with me!  I started at 248 lbs in Sept. 2008- I started WW @ 231 1/28-  and today I weight 198.6 which means a total loss so far of 49.6 lbs!  I am so excited at my success!  Here are the pics for ya to check out!  :) 

So it is a bit more than a month since last measurements but here are the newest ones-  :)

  • L Upper Arm: 15 1/2  Same
  • Bust 46″ Same
  • Rib Cage 37 1/2″ Same
  • Upper Tummy (roll) 42″ - 1 1/2 “
  • Wasit 40 1/2 ” - 1/2″
  • Hips 47″ - 1″
  • L Upper Leg 23 1/2″ -1 1/2 “

Well I have lost 4 1/2 ” in about a months time.  That Rocks!!  :) 

If you WANT to lose weight, you can’t have high-calorie sweets- cakes, cookies, candy, or full-fat ice cream- whenever you feel like it.  you need to either find a lower-calorie substitute that you can have every day or save the rich desserts for once a week. 

Important information for me to follow!  Lately I have been indulging whenever I want!
