Oh Crap!! I hate it when there’s a gain!
I gained .6 @ Thursday’s weigh in. On paper it doesn’t seem to make sense, but how well did I really track… I am not the best at measuring- I have made it a challenge to measure as much as possible this week in hopes to trim out the extra points I might not realize I am getting!
I had a great work out yesterday @ gym. I am training to hopefully Jog/Run/Walk a 5K in Aug. I can walk one now, but I want to Run/Jog if I can… :) I did 15 minutes of Jogging yesterday- Here was the plan I followed
- 5 Min Warm Up @ 2.0 mph
- 3 Min Jog @ 4.0 mph
- 3 Min Walk @ 3.5 mph
- 3 Min Jog @ 4.0 mph
- 3 Min Walk @ 3.5 mph
- 3 Min Jog @ 4.0 mph
- 3 Min Walk @ 3.5 mph
- 3 Min Jog @ 4.0 mph
- 3 Min Walk @ 3.5 mph
- 3 Min Jog @ 4.0 mph
- 18 Min Walk @ 3.5 mph
- 10 Min Cool Down @ 2.0- moving down to 1.0
So this was 60 minutes and I ended up doing 3.25 Miles in that time… I will start adding Jog time and then increase length for consecutive jogging. :) I started out doing 1 min at a time and only about 4 minutes total in an hour work out. I am seeing progress already after 3 weeks of my training… Now John and I just need to sign up for the 5K.
Today we are going to a cool little tourist town, Frankenmuth… We are going to explore and do a carriage ride, and get some yummy dinner. This evening we are going out with some of his work collueges and John is going to buy me a new shirt to wear as all my cute shirts are way to big… I need a cute outfit to go out to the bar with them, right?

Go to the store (Target or Bed, Bath and Beyond) and pick up a kitchen scale. They are AWESOME, and no more guess work! You are doing great, though!!!! Sometimes the weight scale is just like that.

I also want to increase my jog time. as of now, I can only job a few minutes at a time. jogging/running has always been hard for me, even when i was skinnier in my teens and as a child. i dont know why.
thanks for your comment. I am disputeing the charge at amazon.com for our charger. hopefully they will take the money off. In the mean time, we need to order another one. ugh….. its been way to long w/o my computer. ttyl

Hi Tracy- sorry to hear about your gain! As you know, I’ve been there- sometimes you do everything right and it just doesn’t happen. I bet you’ll take it all off (plus some!) next week!
Sounds like a great weekend you have planned- Looking forward to seeing pics of your new outfit! things are great here, I’m loving being home and I’m getting back into my exercise routine- i’ve only missed one workout so far. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you for the next weigh-in!

I actually didn’t get a star! I was a bit late to my meeting and I guess they do it at the beginning…it’s really different from my original meeting! But actually, I think I’m going to wait until I get back from summer and get my stars from my original leader

Thanks for all the comments lately.. I’ve really been in a slump! I am trying to get back into the swing of things now. Good Job on the running!! Definetly find a 5k to do, it is such an awesome environment. Plus, don’t think you have to be able to run the whole thing, a lot of people walk parts of the race. I’ve done 2 now and didn’t run the whole time for either of them. My next race is in July and my goal is to make it the whole way! Guess we’ll see!
