It's a little more challenging with an adult dog but it can be done. He'll have to be in the crate though and walked regularly especially after eating etc. I don't know if you are around to do this but dog crap everywhere and pee under your toes are not cool. It'll end up ruining your house for sure. Miracle solution is available at the pet store or better yet, buy it online - it really gets rid of pet stuff. I used it a lot when I potty trained my dogs.
