Shirataki Noodles

April 12th, 2009

So I just found out about these good for you noodles.  I am looking for anthing to replace pasta.  Shirataki Noodles.  Has anyone used them or ate them or have an opinion about them?  I know I can go to the Asian market and get them.  Yum.  Now if I could find some good for you rice.  Not whole grain.  It’s okay but it really doesn’t make me smile like good old fashioned white, non-nutritional value, don’t eat too much, rice

Hey hon - I’ve had these before. They’re pretty much a part of asian food.

They’re like yam noodles and slightly chewy. Look em up online I think folks try to use them american style in different ways…

I like them sukiyaki style - you can buy sukiyaki sauce at the asian store, some tofu, onion, spinach, super thin cut pork, beef or chicken in one pot - no rice necessary if you have the noodles. It’s sweet and savory which makes it extra good.

    You’re a sweetheart Bobbie. ;)

Kudos to seeing someone - I’m looking forward to it myself. :)
