Loosin It… Again

Morning Ladies.  I have been MIA… again… but this time for good reason!  VACATION!!!!  I hear you all are suffering through a horrible summer, not the case here!  Normally we go east of the mountains to go camping because it is dry, hot, and sunny.  This year because of FIL passing we didn’t get our ducks in a row, so we camped on this side.  It was only five days, but the weather was great and it was a lot of fun.  Took our ski boat, and towed everyone around this huge Mountain lake.  I even got to use my water skiis that dh bought right before I found out I was preggo last year.  Got up on the first try!  So proud of myself, but I didn’t go very far because the boots were pretty loose.  So after a couple hundred yards I decided to fall on MY terms.  LOL… a little more scary when you are older.  I didn’t get any good pics of the Mtn, it is a glacier so it still has snow and it looks like it is jutting out of the lake, so beautiful.

Both boys did well.  Austin wasn’t so sure about camping the first day, but once he realized there were lots of family members there to hold and coddle him, he was SOLD!  Cameron got eaten alive by mosquitos and his eyes nearly swelled shut, but it didn’t slow him down a bit.  He loves hanging out with all of his cousins, even though they are all teeneagers.  (OK… I have to write another post about teenagers… don’t have time today but suffice to say they are HORRIBLE!!!)  I am dreading the day when we enter the teenage years.

Right after we got home from camping, we got a thunder and lightning storm and torrential rain!  LOL… timed that one just right.  The next day we headed out of town for DH’s 30th reunion.  Interesting.  There were three common themes…  “Sorry to hear about your dad.”  He lived in a smaller town and his dad was the pharmacist, most of the kids went to his store for candy.  The second theme… “OMG… you have a 4 1/2 month old baby!!!!”  I am twelve years younger, and yes we started later.  Most of them had kids right out of highschool and now have 4 1/2 month old grandchildren!  The third theme… “I had a huge crush on you in highschool!”  I don’t know how many women came up to us and told him that they had a crush on him in H.S.  It was at least 6 if not more.  And those were the women who said it in front of me, he said even more came up to him when I would step away.  I guess age and alcohol make people bold!  My dh is very shy, tall, with dark hair and handsome, so I don’t blame them for having crushes, it was just so strange to have all of these women come up to him and tell him.  Some were married, divorced, single… didn’t seem to matter.  He was horribly embarrassed.  He wanted to leave early, so we only stayed for 3 hours and left.  

Now we are back home and I am trying to find the bottom of a huge pile of laundry, clean house, and write a report that was supposed to be done before we left.  So I better get to it ladies.  I hope everyone is doing well!  I miss you… and yes I still miss the journals!!!
