You're really not doing bad. You've eaten one "normal" full calorie meal. Although I do worry about the craving for pizza - like me and chocolate. I'm sure your weight will be up a bit tomorrow but it's just because of the sodium. It'll drop right back down. Yeah, I hear ya on the Chinese. I honestly have no clue what would be remotely healthy. But I think the more important thing is not to let it discourage you. One meal is not going to derail you, and it's part of life. You can lose weight even when eating out like that on occasion. Oh, and if you really do get in 3-4 one hour workouts, you will MORE than make up for the "damage" of both the Chinese meal and the pizza. Even if you don't run.
As far as the working out, I personally recommend it, of course as evidenced by the fact that I do it. It's extremely crucial to my weight loss, but I won't go into all that. I have now been exercising for 10 straight weeks, 2 of the weeks I only got in 2 workouts and all the other weeks I did 3-6 workouts. This is the best I've ever done. I didn't run when I started. My goal in the very beginning was just to make it habit of going to the gym regularly, and at the beginning I would sometimes just workout for half an hour. One thing that is crucial for me is to get myself out the door within 15-20 minutes after I get home. Otherwise I won't go. As far as the running, I'm following the couch to 5k program from coolrunning.com pretty much to a T. There were a couple workouts that I couldn't make it through, but that was okay. One thing that helps me is, of course, my ipod loaded with music and various podcasts. Also, the treadmills at the Y each have there own TV that you can put on the channel you want and listen through the headphones - they have the first 72 channels, so there's always something to watch. Today I watched parts of "Friends," "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "What Not to Wear." It really helps pass the time.
