I like the clean February idea. Wondering if it's too late to take this on as a challenge for myself.

I've been drinking a lot of fun tea to make giving up beer and hard cider feel less punitive: jasmine, mint, chai...it's not alcohol, but there's a nice ritual to making and drinking tea that almost (ALMOST!) makes up for a booze-less dinner.

I haven't moved my wardrobe into the garage yet, but I might have to give that a try!

I did finally give a couple of bags of skinny clothes to Goodwill...not because I think they'll never fit, but because I've had these skinny clothes so long that they're out of style, way out of style. In fact, I may have spotted a pair of parachute pants in there somewhere. :)

Like the last sentence--- struggles to find a balance and the moments of joy when I succeed. Fits me to a Tee.

I could have written this post myself. It's not that I've given up the battle, but I've definitely given up the insanity. Good, whole foods, good wine and good love is what it's all about.

The new gig sounds fabulous.

I hope it works out for you, TJ. I had a job one time where it was one of those "salary is not so great" but perks were supposed to be good. Same experience as you, perks didn't pan out. Our four day workweek of ten hour days didn't work either. The boss was constantly saying we hadn't met our quoto for the week and we wound up working 5 ten hour days at least twice a month. In the meantime, he's buying a houseboat, buying new cars, taking fabulous vacations and the rest of us were working like dogs. Didn't stay there very long.

TJ, I am Hermit Girl, and well, I've made it back to 3fc after a long haitus... started up a new blog and noticed in the updated blog feed, there you are. I would like to peek in on you now and again, find some great likenesses (me in the wilderness, for one). See you around.
