Yep, up 1.5 lbs. Now I know most of that is bloating from the sudden carb load, so I will NOT freak out, because I know that now that I am back to low-carb eating my body will adjust again over the next couple of days. All will be well….
One lesson (re)learned is that I cannot have baked goods in the house. It is way too easy to slip into a late night binge. Have to clear out the cupboards once Son #2 heads out. It could be as early as tomorrow, he should know his schedule today. Son #1 is in the middle of final exams and then he GRADUATES! Yay! He is planning to take another degree so it is not over yet, but at least we’ve reached this big milestone.

Oh, I totally agree about the baked goods. I recently bought a book about making bickies (cookies) and discovered a new super power. Yes, I am a BRILLIANT maker of biscuits. The are fabulously tasty. I know this because I’ve shoveled them down my throat like nobody’s business. In the end I packed them all up in a box and sent them with Beloved to his work. Work friends were most appreciative and keep asking for more. This mean I can now make more in future while safely knowing that I can give them away. Whew!

Must be nice to have your boys home, but I bet you’re wanting to get back to the control of your normal life.
I’ve been low-carb for almost 3 weeks now and I can tell such a difference in hunger etc. So far haven’t really had to deal w cakes and all that - you have my sympathy!
