Do you think there is such a thing as the evil eye? Honestly, I am starting to wonder if someone is sticking pins in a mini me doll…the past few weeks have brought some really weird bad luck. To top it off, this weekend I managed to break both the vacuum cleaner and the microwave (don’t ask but yes, you can break a microwave oven). I bought a new cordless phone set that is so obviously defective the store WANTS to give me back my money. And the check engine light in the car has been on since last Monday - where is the car fairy when you need him/her/it? My friends are in stitches waiting for the next story…it’s not that these things happen, it is the WAY they happen that provides endless amusement to the people around me. Sigh.

On the plus side, this dating thing this has taken a positive turn, but again, a wrinkle…when should I tell him he has the same name as my ex-husband?

Back on the exercise horse, one 30 minute walk every night with the dog, come rain, come snow, come dark of night….

I think the universe is just toying with you - giving you the good relationship vibe along with plenty of daily-life-hassles vibes.

At least you’re getting good stories!

As for the name thing… how long have you been seeing this guy? How much detail have you gone into about your ex? Can you talk about any qualities he had that you did like? Maybe that can be a bridge… but it’s delicate, I admit!

On the bright side - the chances of you calling your new bf by the wrong name are lowered!
We lost our tumble dryer, one of the cars got a flat tire and our microwave also started to fizzle out. It’s the Christmas goblin.
Hope your goblin goes back to the North Pole soon.

I had a professor in college who could never take a flight without losing at least one piece of luggage. She is a famous writer and the stories she made out of these are hilarious. Her housekeeper poured too much water in the aquarium and managed to kill a few fish. She couldn’t believe fish dying in water, never made out that they need air as well.

Well, as Ruby says the goblin will leave. Or you can do as some Indians do. put a small black dot on your face to ward off the evil eyes. :)

    love,

    iniya
