I bought 2 new exercise videos…one is a belly dancing one, and one is the NYC Ballet workout. I will create a page to review both, and any other videos or books I try. Just for fun.
Have definitely picked up speed on my walks - the route I did last night(2 hills - yay me) was my 100 minute route at the start, and dog and I made it home in just over 90 minutes. It was a beautiful night for a walk.
My housecleaner comes today so I got up a few minutes early to put stuff away. I don’t clean before she gets here, but I do tidy a bit so she doesn’t have to figure out where things go. She can’t stand clutter, and after the first week of looking in every cupboard for things after she finished I learned to not leave stuff around. She’s very nice and seems to enjoy what she does.
Measurements are not changing as much as I hoped. I am working up to some morning toning sessions. I just would so much rather stay in bed for that extra hour….sigh. If someone told me that all I had to do was get up at 5:30 every day and in 6 months I’d have washboard abs I am not sure I could do it.
Heading up to the cabin this weekend which means I will have to get ready tonight so I can jump in the car and go! right after work. Wildlife is moving around on the highways - moose, bear - so I will not be speeding my way north. I call it ‘moose speed’ - under 90 km the whole way. Seems to make for much, much longer trip.

I would just like to note that this is another sub-1700 calorie day. Yay me.
Also found a major sponsor for a project at work that will, I hope, actually get us to the point where this project breaks even. Nothing is confirmed yet, but I was SO relieved I literally put my head down on my desk and hugged myself. (After I was alone…lol). On the dark side, turns out that payroll made a big BIG BIG mistake on my retro pay cheque and now I have to pay back a HUGE amount of money. Really bad news since I have already used the cash to pay down some bills. I thought the figure looked big but trusted the powers that be. Dumb. I have a meeting tomorrow to negotiate a payback schedule. Like everyone I know, I live paycheque to paycheque (2 kids in university, divorce legal bills) so it is not like I have cash laying around for this. However, mistakes happen, unlucky that it happened to me, but I will participate in the solution in good faith and good humour. (grrr) The fact that the payroll person is a friend makes it worse because I know she is probably beating herself up over this.
I am so tired. Nightmares last night, so I was up and down many times. Once they start I can’t shake them…as soon as I fall asleep again I am right back there. I really, really, need to sleep tonight. I am going to take the dog for a walk, come home and deal with the hair-grey-roots problem, and then go to bed. Really, really tired.
Tuesday night and Loverboy is back in town. He’s out for the evening, which means I got home at 8 (gotta love those 12 hour days), had dinner, will take the dog for a walk and will still get home in time to tidy up before he gets here. I will be dragging by then. Have another 12 hour day tomorrow so I have to get to sleep early.
OK, not like I am slow or anything, but I have only just now discovered ebay. I was looking for a new palm pilot and think I can get one there for about 1/8 of the price of a new one. Even if it only lasts a year it is still much more economical. Even if it only lasts 6 months. Also, I bought a new phone and I think I can get all the accessories on ebay for a fraction of the retail price. I know, everybody else has already figured this out….lol
Tried a ‘lean cuisine’ meal tonight…I went to get a bbq roast chicken at the grocery store and they were all gone, so instead of wings or pizza I thought I’d try this. Only 330 calories, smelled like garlic, tasted like baby pap. Or what I imagine baby pap tastes like (it’s been a long time…lol). Like nothing. Now I’ll hike around the neighbourhood and work it off.
I am starting to feel like I need to work some variety into my life. I am involved in a lot of things and am very, very busy but it is all the same stuff.ÂÂ

5. hobby: home repair (not very dedicated, sigh); gardening
6. hobby: walking the dog
I think I would like to develop some artistic side of me, whatever that might be. I used to knit, design clothes, paint, make jewelry, study tarot,  take pictures….now all that seems like such an effort. Except I do miss being that person.
Skipping the official weigh-in this morning. I had 2 glasses of wine last night and when I peeked at the scale this a.m. BANG up two pounds. Definite bloating from the alcohol. I had no idea so little could have some a dramatic effect. So official weigh-in postponed 24 hours. That’s ok - did a 65 minute route last night, at a fast pace and really felt it in my ankles this morning, for some reason. Oh hell, I am just falling apart…lol
