I forgot to mention that I had a JC weigh in Sat. and was down .8 for the week. Kind of pathetic, but I didn’t give it my best effort either.
Last night’s swing dance lesson with DH was A BLAST. We had a lot of fun and it was a serious cardio workout. And bonus points, this morning before we were both leaving for work, DH says he wants to practice something from last night before he forgets it, so we spent 10 minutes doing east coast swing in our living room before going to work : ) Gotta love that!
breakfast: JC pancakes, coffee
lunch: JC pasta and iced tea
dinner: will be JC and on plan, going for two days of ON PLAN with EXERCISE here… woot!
exercise: I have a 5:30 walk date with a friend. Last time we walked we went six miles. I’m hoping for four today, I do have other shit to do, lol.

breakfast: skipped - didn’t even have coffee, was balls-to-the-wall busy with work
lunch: JC panini and fun sized bag of sun chips
dinner: will be JC UPDATE JC sesame chicken and a salad. FULL DAY ON PLAN WITH EXERCISE. YES!
exercise: walked 4.05 miles with a neighbor. awesome day for it, so glad she called or I would have stayed at my desk all day long. DH and I are also doing a dance lesson tonight, which will be a good workout because it’ll be just us (our first private lesson, I’m so happy that he’s interested in doing this)

Wow, almost a week without food logging. Seriously, this is like the easiest habit in the world to fall out of.
In a nutshell:
Thursday was all food on plan. DH and I are taking a swing dance class on Thursday nights. This was the first night and it was a blast and definitely a workout.
Friday was decent on plan with the exception of a slice of pizza and salad out to lunch with DH. Friday nights we are doing a “social fox trot” class… DH chose this one and it is not much of a workout, but I surely am not going to discourage him when HE is initiating a dance class, lol.
Saturday I went to the David Gray/Ray LaMontange concert (so fab!) and drank A LOT and munched A LOT. But breakfast and lunch were on plan. That counts for something, right?
Sunday I had a hot dog at chips at a church picnic and DH grilled salmon (fresh from Alaska!) for dinner, which I had with a salad.
Monday was breakfast and lunch on plan. For dinner I made a salmon spread (with low fat cream cheese) and we had that on bagels along with a beet salad, assorted olives and a salad. Yum!
GOALS FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK: Stick to my plan more deliberately and exercise. DH and I are taking a two hour “private lesson” tonight (ballroom dance), then we are doing dance classes Thurs and Fri night. Plus I walked four miles today, and have plans with a walking buddy for Wednesday.

Breakfast. Skipped bc I had a 10 am fasting blood draw. Ick.
Lunch. JC meatball pocket and cheese curls. Diet coke. JC cookies
Dinner UPDATE: Made tacos for DD11 as her first day of school special dinner request : ) She had two tacos, I had a big green salad with a scoop of refried beans and two tablespoons of ground beef. Shared a piece of cake with DD11 for dessert.
Exercise. None yet and probably won’t. But if I could burn calories by fretting I would be down 10 lb today. DD11 started middle school today at a school for 6-12th grade and she looked like a preschooler there in the sea of giant teens! I have been a wreck since dropping her off UPDATE: DD11 got off of the school bus at 4:58 PM! WTH! We rode our bikes to the grocery store, not very far, but it was nice to stretch our legs

breakfast: coffee
lunch: DD11’s last day of summer vacation (school starts tomorrow, halleluiah!) so while we were running errands I let her choose lunch, and she chose her favorite place, of course, which is the semi-gross chinese buffet. I had one plate, not heaping but full, with rice, steamed veggies, a small sampling of a couple of varieties of chicken (some breaded and fried, and all with sauce), two fried wontons and a dumpling. And diet coke
dinner: will be a JC lunch serving UPDATE: had a JC lunch pizza and I added 1/2 of a sausage leftover from last night. it was delish : ) had iced tea
exercise: I WENT TO THE GYM. We moved into our condo the first week of June and I just used the gym for the first time. SO PATHETIC. But whatever, I went. I wanted to do a short jog, but it was raining, so what the heck, I went to the gym at 2 pm, no one else was there (it’s a very small workout room with one bike, one eliptical, two treadmills and a few weight machines, and NO ONE IS EVER THERE). Went in at 2 pm, put General Hospital on the TV and got on the treadmill. THE TREADMILLS ARE CRAP AND NOT OKAY FOR RUNNING. So I walked and did a few short running intervals, but as soon as I’d get going, the whole thing would get loud and shaky and scary. Did two miles on the TM and then three miles on the bike.
DD11 has youth group tonight, so if my walking buddy is up for it, we may hit the Burnt Bridge Creek Trail near the church. If she’s not available, I won’t go by myself because the trail is kind of isolated and I don’t like to do it alone. I have done it alone, and nothing remotely scary has happened, but still. I’m a weenie. UPDATE: downpour! glad I went to the gym

Oy, where to begin.

lunch: JC panini so far so good…. but
dinner: about one dozen grilled shrimp, two sausages, garden salad, one tufuti cutie mini ice cream sandwich, three glasses of wine. and then, later, a bag of coconut M&Ms DIET, WHO?
exercise: rode my bike to the grocery store with DD11, which is 3/4 of a mile away.

in an effort to get my pig-out eating under control this weekend, I am going to log my food, even though I usually don’t on weekends. So here goes….
breakfast: 1-1/2 homemade cinnamon rolls at church. I am really good about avoiding the donuts after mass but, hello, home-freaking-made cinnamon rolls. Yeah, no. Coffee.
lunch: JC turkey burger and JC veggie chips. Yum!
dinner: JC sesame chicken. Followed by a handful of Doritos. Followed by two handfuls of kettle corn. And then, later, a JC peanut butter bar. OY, DD11 AND HER STUPID SLEEPOVER FRIEND AND THEIR STUPID SLEEPOVER SNACKS.
exercise: Rode bikes with DD11 and her friend to the Farmer’s Market. It’s 1.5 miles away. So we rode 3 miles, but not “in a row,” because we got off of bikes and walked around at the F.M. BUT THEN I went on a walk with a friend and we went six miles. Holla!
WATER INTAKE: Drank one bottle of water during/after the bike ride and another when I got home from my walk.

I decided to track my weekend food to help me stay on track, because I have been so off track lately.
breakfast: JC pancakes, coffee
lunch: farewell party for a moving co-worker. I had a few pcs of cheese with crackers, some fruit and 1/3 of a croissant sandwich (roast beef and cheese). I’d have eaten a whole sandwich if they hadn’t been divided into thirds, because it was really good. so thanks to whoever divied them up : ) I also had a glass of red wine and HALF A PC of chocolate cake. You read that right. HALF A PC of cake. The other half was left on my plate, uneaten. This may be the first time I have left cake on my plate in…. ever.
dinner: lunch was a late lunch, so dinner was a diet coke, a bag of JC cheese curls and a JC vitamin bar. between lunch and dinner I went to pick up DD11 from a play date and had two glasses of red wine there.
WATER: i drank two glasses of water after my walk and two bottles of water at the farewell party.
EXERCISE: 5k, or 3.15 miles to be exact.
58 minutes, 395 calories burned, speed of 3.2 mph.
Leisurely stroll with a friend, but still, better than nothing.
One Month Weigh In

Down 4.2 lb and lost 9 inches. HELL YEAH!
UPDATE: posted that from my phone, and my fingers are too fat to post much from the phone, so the details: down 4.2 for the month, which, OK, not stellar, but at the rate I was going before I got back “on plan,” I would have been up double that for the month.
My actual weekly weigh-in weight was down 1.8 pounds from last week, which considering last night’s pizza debacle, is a mysterious and welcome gift from the weight loss gods. I’ll take it.
Nine inches lost for the month seems like a lot to me. I’ve felt a difference in the waist of my pants, but not in the snugness of the pants over my stomach and ass. But a loss is a loss and, again, I’LL TAKE IT.
Heading out for a walk now.
GOALS: exercise M/W/F next week without fail. drink and record WATER intake. stay on food plan 100% for at least 4/7 days next week.

Friday - aka the day I blew my week
Breakfast: granola bar and coffee
Lunch: caprese salad and four grilled prawns, diet coke
Dinner: three “boneless hot wings,” 987 pcs of dominos pizza (sausage and mushroom) and two cinna-stix. Oh, and beer. Don’t forget the $*&%’ing beer.
