…my success and struggles with weight loss and maintenance

I Biked

Wow, it’s 39 degrees already! I’m not getting outside today; however, I’ll be snuggling into my sewing room before work.

Well, my entire day went the way I’d planned. I journaled and biked on the stationary for an entire 15 minutes. After I got going, I added more to the work out, but not much more (Laura, you were right). I threw my free weights around to work my upper arms and shoulders. Of course, Ed noticed right away. It’s uncanny how the results show so quickly—a more solid muscle to the touch. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean while I worked out. I’ll continue on where I left off this morning. I love that movie. I love the costuming and I dream of wearing beautiful dresses and corsets. I just think it would be fun, but not every day. Eeek!

Went to spend time with The Mum and we went shopping for my brother. I’m sending him a digital camera but I needed a battery and charger kit. I picked out a xD card reader so I could get photos onto my blogs, since my desktop is out of order at the moment. I suppose it will be quite some time before I can get a new monitor. I’ve got to finish making payments on my Kenmore. Anyways, I’ll post the chocolate tools I made for King Edward at the end of the entry. He says they have delicious flavor. I added yellow paste and cream cheese oil flavoring to the white candy. It’s a nice merge with the milk chocolate. I made them with Mumsy last Saturday. She’ll be coming this Saturday also for another bake-day. Ed will be gone hunting.

Okay I’m going to talk food yesterday. It went okay, but then not okay. And then ended up okay.

  • Cheerios and almond milk
  • Apples and sugar
  • 1/3 cup noodles and sauce
  • whole wheat toast w sesame seed chips-5 chips
  • Ho Ho Mint Mocha w/ soy, no whip at Caribou
  • A few anise flavored hard candy
  • Tall coffee
  • 1 small hamburger patty
  • ¼ cup mashed butter potatos
  • A few chocolates from a bag of Brach’s Bridge Mix

No veggies again. I guess I didn’t care for them. It was really late at night when I made the patties and tatos… Ed was sighting his gun in at the range. I just don’t feel like eating a full meal when he’s gone. I went to sleep about 11:30 pm. I wanted to stay up and read, but I remembered that I wanted to try and get up a tad earlier than usual. I got up only 10 minutes earlier than I have been, but it’s something.

Okay, I better sign off to stay on schedule. StillScheduleMe signing off.

Here are the chocolates.

A Symbolic Haircut

Good morning. The thought crossed my mind that I should make this somewhat quick. It’s 27 degrees and it’s going to get up to 50 today. That seems to be the new norm.

After thinking about this lifestyle and the reasons for choosing it a little more, I decided that I will, at the very least, incorporate walking or biking for 15 minutes each day after my journal time. I decided that I would use a planner to manage my time also. So that leaves me an hour at 3fc each morning—to write, to comment.

So moving on quickly… I cut 8 inches of my hair off after my shower yesterday. Throughout history, Indians have demonstrated the behavior in response to a great loss, mostly when someone dies. (It’s also in the Holy Bible.) I’ve always cut my hair between life changes. No person has died, but it may be symbolic of me “coming into a new way of life”. Like a butterfly shedding its cocoon.

Yesterday I ate:

  • cheerios and almond milk
  • Toast
  • Diet A&W
  • 1 cup hot dishd
  • 1 biscuit
  • Apple w/ sugar
  • 1 Cream cheese mint
  • 1 caramel
  • sm. Handful of bbq chips
  • chicken
  • wax beans
  • 1 baked potato
  • apple with cinnamon and sugar
  • ½ cup of vanilla frozen yogurt w/ butterscotch topping

I’m not counting calories. Part of the reason I’m eating poorer than I could, is the fact that we need to go grocery shopping. I sat down for an hour planning out a menu and writing down foods we need for the meals. I also planned meals for the food we have in the house. I hope this helps. I need to purchase more apples that aren’t so tart. I bought these for pie and I just haven’t gotten around to making another apple pie. I thought about sauce but decided against that this year. I just don’t want to do it. Well, if I am going to be successful, I must sign off and move on with my schedule. PlanningMe signing off.
