Taking in the Peace
(Princess Fiona — I’m practicing my lighting techniques with photography.)
GOOD MORNING!
I felt like writing that in large font. I’m up early this morning. Sweetie mentioned that he’d like to see me a little longer in the AM before he goes to work and my alarm was set for 6 am, so I decided to just get up. I spent about 10 minutes looking for my tealights for my wax thingy. You light the candle and then the scented wax in the glass bowl above melts and releases nice aroma!!! Is all of this pointless? No, it helps me to de-stress.
Today is Zen MP3s and running a few errands before work.
I’ve sent in my resume to a company for a part-time position for a “behavior analyst”. The hiring director emailed me back immediately and said that she would give me a call some time this week to talk about the position. I’m guessing that the position will be similar to the job I had in St. Paul. I’ll find out after the call.
I only had a few palpitations throughout the day, so I’m doing something right. I just need to keep at it. I keep telling myself “I am peaceful”…and the palps seem to subside somewhat.
Aside from being peaceful, I ate about 5 or 6 cookies yesterday, but I didn’t really eat a lunch - just toast. Dinner was the asparagus/avocado wrap that we love. I have one to eat for lunch today. Mmm… onions.
I drew up a nice spreadsheet to help me stay focused on getting things done. I’ve categorized them under titles like “Immediate” and “Long Term” …the quilt is under “Long Term” LOL. I WILL get it done ONE DAY! I’m hoping this list will help de-stress me.
So far, so good!

glad to hear you are able to get the palpitations under control. take care!
I will post the link for the food blog. I’m still trying to figure the whole thing out and have decided I will probably take some graphic design and web design classes. Along with my writing background, if I learn that, then maybe I can have my own little freelance business. I love the photograph of the princess; I also love taking pictures and have my camera ready to go for later this week (after the rain) as DH and I are going to take a drive through the back country where all the wildflowers are almost in full tilt.
Glad to hear you are relaxing a bit more. Lavander oil, applied behind the ears and on the temples and wrists is also superbly relaxing and dreamy.
You sound peaceful today.
Re your comments - I’ll probably dry my new long jeans on delicate and hopefully they won’t shrink in the waist.
I wonder what town you mother lived in - elgin, zion, cary, volo…just a few short-named ones. I’ve lived in Chicago or the near northwest suburbs all my life. Although I’ve traveled a good amount in the past for my job, I never went away to school or lived anywhere but the Chicago metro area. I sometimes think about how nice it would be to live in “the country”, but whenever I’m in rural areas, it really seems foreign to me. At this point in the winter, a milder climate sounds really attractive to me!
Gorgeous picture!
Good luck with the job!
Oh, I forgot to mention that for lack of a better ‘parking’ space, I added the links to some of my favorite food blogs (and once you link to them you can find 1,000s more links to other food and gardening blogs) in my side-bar, so link in and peruse. I have several recipes added to my list of things I want to cook up this month.
