No Walk Yesterday
It’s 28 degrees this morning. Love it! I’m going to go for a walk as soon as I finish up my entry.
Yesterday. It went pretty well, but I ate more sugar than I wanted/needed to and my hernia caused me problems. Did I walk yesterday? Nohh. Why? Because I sewed and blogged instead! I didn’t have my hands in the cookie jar, at any rate. Lunch was 1 caramel, toast and a slice of cheese. I ate several candies during my transition from job to job, however. Sigh. Dinner was rotini with meat sauce and a slice of bread, which is ALWAYS too much! I skipped dessert—it was far too late anyway. I felt so fat and depressed at bed time. Sick. So today I am determined to walk after this entry. I need to think anyways.
Since my sewing blog is so new, no one knows about it, other than here. I decided to send a bulk message to friends and family to share the address and I’m feeling a little nervous. I’m so private, even when it comes to basic and general things like crafts. I don’t share much about myself or even share activities that I enjoy doing in solitude. My true feelings are “who would care to know these things about me” and “I’m not worth it.” That’s part of my low self-worth/esteem. So I’m nervous. I know that my family will like to see it though. Well, I’m not so nervous that I’m overeating about it.
Today I’m walking and sewing. No job1, so I’m working more hours at job2. Dinner will be pork chops and probably butter potatoes and green beans. I don’t want to go near Kraut, but I know it’s good for me.
Okay, time to sign off and get bundled for my walky-walk! MovingMe signing off.

All your talk about sewing, is making me want to get back into the groove. I need to clear a nice spot out in the basement ( the unfinished side ) and get back to it. You are right about it keeping our hands and our minds busy. You can’t eat AND sew! LOL I bet your sewing blog is great!!! Do you have the link here?
We had pork last night. I posted the recipe on my blog today.
Served potatoes and green beans with it too. potatoes, green beans and pork….ultimate Midwest comfort food!! LOL
never mind, I found the link. Wow, its a nice blog!!!
We shood start a closet artist club! Seriously, I understand what you mean. I have a panic attack when people see my stuff if it’s outside of a group of 5 people I’m comfortable with. My writing is worse than my art. So far 3 people have read the story I’m almost done with (therapist included). My husband wants me to let his mother read it (she’s a published author) and the thought scares the hell out of me. What’s next? Trying to get it published?!? (runs and hides under bed).
or back in the artists’ closet at least.
I hope you have a good walk
Walks when it’s chilly are are fabulous!
I love a nice brisk walk - its refreshing. No need to be nervous about the sewing blog. You are amazing -share it!
Hope you enjoyed your sewing day yesterday. I’ll have to get back to your sewing blog and read about it.
I didn’t receive a comment from you at the e-m address I use when I post to your sewing blog, so that probably means I need to actually sign up and subscribe to it or something.
I think people ARE interested in what you do for hobbies (I am!) and it will inspire them to do their own projects, so it’s nice you’re sharing with others.
I have a version of the Readers Digest sewing book, and a couple Simplicity versions too (mom’s garage sale finds), so I will definitely check those for guidance re the zipper replacement. I think the gold thread the jean manufacturers use looks thicker/heavier than the usual spools I buy, but I’m not going to worry about it. This is more like a practice project for me, and unless I really botch it, no one actually looks that closely. Especially at the spot where the zipper is, LOL! (imagining someone with their face up to the zipper, inspecting my stitches - uh, no, not happening).
Have a great day and I hope you got out for that walk!!
