Planning works - yippee!

Well I don’t want to speak too soon as the day is not yet over but it worked. It was good because I knew I had in the fridge what i’d planned and knew what was comming next instead of my usual delay lunch until i’m so hungry i just eat the first thing i come across. So i’ve eaten according to my plan for today - tweaked it along the way but only a tiny bit and counted everything. I’ve not once been hungry, EXCEPT when it was time to eat. Success! I’m really please. The day as I said is not over but I think it’s went very well. I just need to keep on top of things tonight, as when i get fed up stuck in the house of an evening thats when i hit what ever i’ve got.

Ok so i’ve sat tonight and done my menu plans for Mon, Tue & Wed. I’ve never done things this way around before so i’m really hoping things pan out ok. I usually document things when i’ve already done them and usually by then the damage is done. So maybe this planning malarky is the way forward lol

For those of you that are interested i’m following a UK plan called Slimming World. I know it 100% works for me when i stick with it and i’ve already seen great results from it, its just unfortunate i need to do it “again” as I just don’t seem to be able to adapt to it as a “way of life” which I think, for me, I need to.

Ok so here goes, here’s the plan!

Monday: (Syn allowance: 15) Plan type: Extra Easy

Breakfast - Poached eggs (free) on toast (B-choice)

Lunch - Ham salad (free) with cheese (28g A-choice)

Dinner - Beef chilli & boiled rice (both free)

Drinks/Snacks - Water/Diet Coke (free) Hifi Bar (6 Syns) banana (free)

Tuesday: (Syn allowance: 15) Plan type: Extra Easy

Breakfast - 2 slices of toast (b-choice) and peanut butter (5 syns per tablespoon)

Lunch - Tuna pasta with passata and peppers (free)

Dinner - trimmed bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and scrambled eggs with cheese (all free & 1A-choice)

Drinks/snacks - water/diet coke. hifi bar (6 syns), apple (free), banana (free)

Wednesday: (Syn allowance: 15) Plan Type: Extra Easy

Breakfast - fruit salad & mullerlight (free)

Lunch - meaty tomato soup (free)

Dinner - tandoori chicken & boiled rice (free)

Drinks/Snacks - water/diet coke. Hifi bar (6 syns), banana (free), 28g Alpen (b-choice) semi-skimmed milk (A-choice)

Hmm another lazy Saturday. I had weetaflakes & milk and a banana for breakfast. Then for lunch I just had 3 slices toast and some eggs.  I’m trying to keep up with the drinking water more often but i’m not big on drinking water to be honest. I thinkI need to go back to trying the SW plan food wise to be honest. I’m terrible at calorie counting, I have no idea what I’m doing with it. So today and tomorrow i’m just gonna try and eat healthy and from Monday i’ll be trying to plan my meals around SW. The baby is taking a nap, so i’l gonna take this time to get dressed and tidy up then we’ll head out for a walk probably to the loch, but we’ll see.

I want to *try* do next weeks menus in advance so that I have some kind of action plan. I find when i do it on a whim I ALWAY screw up. So between today and tomorrow i’m gonna come up with some meal plans for Mon, Tue & Wed and see what happens. Then on Tue/Wed i’ll plan Thur, Fri & Sat.

Oh and i’ll also be getting my Wii & Wii Fit back this weekend. So that should at least help!

Work It!

We done the Loch yesterday and Monday - thats 2.6 miles and hopefully get another mile (at least!) in today as well - might even venture out to the park and get a big one in, depending on the weather. Awaiting the arrival of my new fitflops, want to see if they really are as comfortable as i’ve been told they are. I sure hope so because its way too hot for trainers.

For breakfast today I had a cup of tea & crossant. Not sure what i’ll plan for the rest of the day. I have some stuff in the fridge I need to use up so i’ll see what I can come up with.

I never did those photos yesterday so I guess I should get to that today too.

Motivation

Motivation is difficult, i’m easily inspired but also easily distracted. I need to do some photos to I can do before/after shots but recently when i see a photo of myself i want to vomit.

I should do some today  shouldn’t I?

We don’t always need to wait until tomorrow to begin something. It can begin today, right now. The spur of the moment kinda thing. The trouble is i’ve always been a “tomorrow” person. Today is the final last indulgence before the nitty gritty begins TOMORROW.

Well not any more. You know what - one of these days tomorrow isn’t going to come around and then i’ll be screwed, big time! So from today - its TODAY!

My plan for today is to:

Walk 2.5miles

Drink 1.5lts water

Not to eat any junk for just TODAY.
