Time to get Shredded…. ?!?

Posted by: Hilary In: Weight Loss Goal

Well, I bought the 30 day shred DVD. I read a bunch of stuff on the forums and different websites and lots of people think that it works. My goal is to do the video everyday for 30 days, like you’re supposed too. If I miss a day, I won’t freak out but I will make sure to still do 10 days of each level. I’m going to take befor pictures and measurements tomorrow morning after weigh-in.
This week has gone well, I believe. I’ve eaten within my points everyday and have gotten in 5 workouts. I’m hoping the scale drops but I started TOM today. Sometimes that messes me up.

Next week I’m doing the Wendie Plan again to jump start my weight loss again. For some reason I can’t get past the 222lbs. I hit that and bounce between 228 and 225lbs. I want the 2-teens!!

30 Day Shred?

Posted by: Hilary In: Weight Loss Goal

A few days ago, my friend and I tried the 30 Day Shred on her free OnDemand exercise channel.  I thought it was a really great workout.  I’ve heard many people say they are doing it, but have you seen results?  I’m thinking about getting the DVD and trying it sarting Nov. 1st and see how much I can lose in those 30 days.  If you’ve tried this, please let me know your likes and dislikes!!  I need a new workout to keep me motivated!!

Well Damn…

Posted by: Hilary In: Weekly Weight In

I felt like I did pretty well this week but I must have over looked something.  I gained 2lbs.  I am going to pay more attention to what I eat this week and get in more workouts.

I went on a 4 mile run this morning.  I bought a new running jacket, on sale… originally $36, I paid $9!  It’s really nice and keeps me warm in the 35 degree weather.

I Completed My First 10k!

Posted by: Hilary In: Weight Loss Goal

This was a good weekend… I had a great weigh in and hit the 105lb loss mark and I ran in my frist 10k!  On Saturday morning I woke up at 6:30am, took a shower and headed downtown.  It was only about 35 degrees out but no rain! (It rained ALL week)  Laura and I got our numbers and then did a couple minutes of some warm up running before the race got started.   We started out together in the middle of the pact and stayed together for about the first 2 miles.  Laura took off and I stayed in my own zone.  I pushed myself and yet felt comfortabled the whole race.  I just love the atmosphere of a running event.  Everyone is so supportive the entire time!  We both finished the race confidently and happy with our times.  Laura finished in 63 minutes and I came in at 70:30.

Last year on this same weekend, Patti and I walked in the Step Out: To Fight Diabetes walk.   At the time, I was thinking about starting to run and that it might be fun to get into racing.  We saw the 5/10k-ers going over the bridge with us and no one looked like they were having any fun.  I thought, “Maybe I won’t get into that”.  Now I run 5 and 10k’s and LOVE IT!

New Shoes!

Posted by: Hilary In: Weekly Weight In

The last few weeks have been rough to say the least.  Even the last few months have not been as great as I would have hoped but I am starting to feel more confident.  This week I lost 6lbs and am finally into new numbers on the scale.  I now weigh 222lbs and have lost 105lbs!  I need to stop thinking big picture and start thinking week to week because it’s not as intimidating.

I got brand new Mizuno running shoes yesterday!  They are awesome!

Laura and I turned into hardcore runners yesterday too.  ( I think ) We ran 4 miles in a downpour. Our 10k is tomorrow and it’s been raining all week.  I’m hoping the weather guy is right and there isn’t any rain for the run.  Right now Saturday is the only clear sky day, so I guess we’ll see.

motivation.. why did you leave me?

Posted by: Hilary In: Weekly Weight In

On Wednesday I talked to my running buddy, Laura and she told me that she ran 6 miles in 65 mins. (her best time and 1 min faster than our best together) While I’m very excited for her to be doing so well, I immediately thought, “I never would have been able to keep up with that right now” and that pissed me off. I was running 6 freakin’ miles in 66 mins and I stopped training. Just stopped. I went almost 3 weeks without running. No wonder my weight has gone up! The exercise alone helps but I eat better knowing I’m running the next day. Duh… Our 10k is in 2 weeks and you better believe I’m running the whole way of that bitch.

I went for a 3 miler yesterday and Laura and I are doing a full 10k tomorrow.

I have to stay this focused. I WILL NOT go back to being 300+ pounds…. EVER!

My friend took this picture  on Thursday. (it’s her baby, don’t get any ideas!) It’s the first picture I looked at without having it next to an old photo, that I noticed how small I am getting.

food back on track? CHECK!

Posted by: Hilary In: Weekly Weight In

I did very well this week staying in my point range everyday. I feel like I’m back in the eating game and I’m going to focus on exercise this week. I did go for a 4 mile run with Laura yesterday but that was my only form of exercise.

I’m down to 226lbs again. (a 101lbs loss) Just a little more before I’m in new numbers and don’t have to feel like I’m losing weight that I already worked off before. :)

And now I’m back.  The last few weeks have not been good.  I ate out A LOT, I didn’t exercise and the result was a 9.5lb gain! Barf..

But non of that matters anymore because I am ready to kick some butt and get this weight off of me.  I’m off to the gym this morning and I’m going to work up a great sweat!

feelin’ good..

Posted by: Hilary In: Weight Loss Goal

This week has been rockin’! I ran 5 miles Friday, then took Saturday off to rest and on Sunday, Laura and I ran 6 miles! It was tough, let me tell you, but we did it! Mile 5 was the worst, I think. I start speedwork this week and I think it will be fun. Today I have a measly 2 mile easy run. I’m going to push myself and try to finish under 21 minutes or about 10:30/mile. I want to finish my next 5k in less than 30 mins so I need to work on my speed.

I’ve been eating well this week. This could be my week to hit 100lbs! We’ll see on Friday I guess… *fingers crossed*
