L1D2

Day 2 went very well. I wasn’t as sore as I expected this morning, so that helped. I’m feeling it a bit now though….

Tonight we are renting movies and ordering pizza instead of going to my friend’s Halloween party because her 4 year old has H1N1. Poor guy can’t trick or treat, but is doing ok otherwise.

L1D1

I lost 3lbs this week! About what I expected with TOM starting yesterday. I started my week off right with a workout, and not just any workout but Day 1 of my 30 Day Shred.

It went pretty good. I did level 1, obviously. The push ups and side lunge with lateral raises were the toughest part for me. I had to take a couple quick breaks in those sections. I was covered in sweat when I was done though, so I guess I didn’t rest too much.

I took pictures and measurements today and will post them on my 30 Day Shred page soon.

This week will be a little different because everything is in the air for me. I’m off of work after tomorrow because I have Jury Duty. So I may be busy all week and not able to get in many good workouts or I may be free all week and have to make sure I don’t eat everything I see if I get bored.

Time to get Shredded…. ?!?

Well, I bought the 30 day shred DVD. I read a bunch of stuff on the forums and different websites and lots of people think that it works. My goal is to do the video everyday for 30 days, like you’re supposed too. If I miss a day, I won’t freak out but I will make sure to still do 10 days of each level. I’m going to take befor pictures and measurements tomorrow morning after weigh-in.
This week has gone well, I believe. I’ve eaten within my points everyday and have gotten in 5 workouts. I’m hoping the scale drops but I started TOM today. Sometimes that messes me up.

Next week I’m doing the Wendie Plan again to jump start my weight loss again. For some reason I can’t get past the 222lbs. I hit that and bounce between 228 and 225lbs. I want the 2-teens!!

30 Day Shred?

A few days ago, my friend and I tried the 30 Day Shred on her free OnDemand exercise channel.  I thought it was a really great workout.  I’ve heard many people say they are doing it, but have you seen results?  I’m thinking about getting the DVD and trying it sarting Nov. 1st and see how much I can lose in those 30 days.  If you’ve tried this, please let me know your likes and dislikes!!  I need a new workout to keep me motivated!!

Well Damn…

I felt like I did pretty well this week but I must have over looked something.  I gained 2lbs.  I am going to pay more attention to what I eat this week and get in more workouts.

I went on a 4 mile run this morning.  I bought a new running jacket, on sale… originally $36, I paid $9!  It’s really nice and keeps me warm in the 35 degree weather.

I Completed My First 10k!

This was a good weekend… I had a great weigh in and hit the 105lb loss mark and I ran in my frist 10k!  On Saturday morning I woke up at 6:30am, took a shower and headed downtown.  It was only about 35 degrees out but no rain! (It rained ALL week)  Laura and I got our numbers and then did a couple minutes of some warm up running before the race got started.   We started out together in the middle of the pact and stayed together for about the first 2 miles.  Laura took off and I stayed in my own zone.  I pushed myself and yet felt comfortabled the whole race.  I just love the atmosphere of a running event.  Everyone is so supportive the entire time!  We both finished the race confidently and happy with our times.  Laura finished in 63 minutes and I came in at 70:30.

Last year on this same weekend, Patti and I walked in the Step Out: To Fight Diabetes walk.   At the time, I was thinking about starting to run and that it might be fun to get into racing.  We saw the 5/10k-ers going over the bridge with us and no one looked like they were having any fun.  I thought, “Maybe I won’t get into that”.  Now I run 5 and 10k’s and LOVE IT!

New Shoes!

The last few weeks have been rough to say the least.  Even the last few months have not been as great as I would have hoped but I am starting to feel more confident.  This week I lost 6lbs and am finally into new numbers on the scale.  I now weigh 222lbs and have lost 105lbs!  I need to stop thinking big picture and start thinking week to week because it’s not as intimidating.

I got brand new Mizuno running shoes yesterday!  They are awesome!

Laura and I turned into hardcore runners yesterday too.  ( I think ) We ran 4 miles in a downpour. Our 10k is tomorrow and it’s been raining all week.  I’m hoping the weather guy is right and there isn’t any rain for the run.  Right now Saturday is the only clear sky day, so I guess we’ll see.
