This Weeks Flying By!

It’s Wednessday already and I’m not ready for weigh in on Friday. I have had an OK week. I couldn’t workout Friday or Saturday, I ran on Sunday, I went to the gym Monday, ran on Tuesday and did some weights, and today I went to the gym again. My food is what has really been off. Saturday we went to my Dad’s for dinner, last night I ate out (and went over my points) and tomorrow I am meeting my friend for the day while she is in town from Kansas. We’ll be eating lunch but who knows where. I’m hoping I can fit in a run sometime on Thursday but I wouldn’t count on it. I really don’t want a gain.

Next week I don’t believe I have any wierd days, so food and exercise should be right on. That 100lbs is so damn close but I have a feeling I might be crawling to it at .5lb at a time! blah…

Running Joys!

I went to my friend Laura’s house on Sunday morning so we could run on the trail in her neighborhood. It’s a beautiful trail! We were going to run 4 miles and then walk back to her house which was another 1.5 miles. We started at a good pace and just chatted the whole way. It was the best run I’ve ever had. We run at exactly the same pace. Laura has a map of the trail and it tells you the distances between points. When we got back to her house after the run she re-added the route we did just to make sure we had actually gone 4 miles and found out we really ran 4.5!! NON-STOP AND IN ONLY 54 MINUTES! That’s the farthest either of us have ever done. Next week it’s 5 miles!

I also brought my Weight Watchers information because Laura and her husband wanted to here about what I was doing and try it. We talked and I left my books for them to go through for awhile. I’m glad her husband is going to join her, I can’t image having to do it alone. I mean she always has me for questions and support but if the person you live with is eating whatever and whenever, it can’t be easy. I never would have made it this long without Heather. He seemed really interested in trying it and she did too! It is just so much easier for ME too when my friends are going through the same thing I am. It gives us lots to talk about while we run (not that either of us ever struggle with chit chat :] )

No fun..

I woke up to TOM,  fun crap.  I did, however, manage to lose half a pound.  I thought for sure I would have gained because I feel bloaty.  I woke up at 2:30am with cramps and couldn’t fall back asleep.  Off to work I go….

I feel like my posts have been really boring lately.  That’s probably because my life is a little boring right now! :)  I work, workout, eat and sleep… I need something new but, what?  For now I will just continue do what I’m doing.  I went to the gym this morning and did 1 hour on the elliptical.  I really wanted to burn some major calories.  I’m crossing my fingers for a 4lb loss to hit my 100lb mark!  I will not, however, be disappointed if I fall a little short as long as the scale moves down.  I know that 4lbs is a lot to ask for after losing 5lbs last week.

I did well with eating yesterday and have everything planned out today.  I’ll be at work most of the day and can only eat what I bring so it should go well!

Tuesday already?!

This morning went much smoother than yesterday. I got up and ran 2 miles/ walked 1, then did a 10 min upperbody and a 10 min balance and flexability video. I had a good breakfast and lunch and now I’m sitting at work waiting to eat my dinner. I let my food downfall only take 1 day away from my week rather than think that I blew the whole week and continue to downslide. Yay me!

Whoopsie Daisies…

Working the afternoon shift is not good for me. I got up this morning and made a good breakfast. Then I sat on my ass and watched tv just waiting to eat lunch before leaving for work. I ended up eating a few extra points because I was bored. uuugggggh! I’m not going to let that ruin my week or even my day!!

Great Sunday!

I was up and out the door by 8am on Sunday morning.  I did my 3 mile run and it went extremely well.  I’m looking forward to when the training schedule calls for something I’ve never done before.  This weeks training is Tues - 2 miles, Thurs - 3 miles and Sun - 4 miles.  I’m pretty sure that Laura and I will run on Sunday together, which will be fun!

I did really well counting my points yesterday at my Mom’s BBQ.  I ate a bratwurst with no bun, about a half cup of baked beans, corn on the cob and a salad, all for about 13 points. Then I had a 10 point piece of cake, it was heavenly.  And easier than I thought.

This morning I made blueberry pancakes, turkey bacon and cinnamon raisin bread for breakfast.  I decided today would be my rest day since I have to work at 1 and feel like doing nothing this morning.

Fun at Goodwill!

My Mom and I went to the Goodwill over by the gym this afternoon and I got somegreat deals! I bought a kahki skirt for $3.29 and a pair of kahki shorts for $2.29. They are both Old Navy brand in a size 16. I haven’t worn a 16 in my adult life! Heather and I are going to go again next week or so and look for shirts. The selection was mostly old lady-ish. We have a few Goodwill’s in the area and I want to check around for shirts. My closet is getting depressed. All the tops in there are way too big and I can’t afford to go buy numerous $15-$40 tops.

I went to the gym and did 10 minutes on the eliptical and then a few weight machines for triceps, shoulders and back. Then I finally did some crunches, ewwww….

Tomorrow we are going to my Mom’s house for a Birthday BBQ for Heather. I’m not sure what food will be yet but I still have some flex and plan to stay as on track as possible. I’m also getting up early so that I can run the 3 miles my training schedule calls for before we go to church. (as long as the rain stays away)

TGIF!

I LOST 5 POUNDS THIS WEEK! I am SO close to that 100lb mark. Just keep pushing, Just keep pushing…

I’m feeling that upper body workout this morning. I did more of the video than ever before. The last exercise is 2 sets of 8 reg pushups followed by 8 biometric (sp?) pushups. She stretches you between sets for about 10 seconds. I usually do the first 8 and then for the bio’s I go at a slower pace and do 4-5 while they do 8, pause the video to rest and stretch before doing the 2nd set the same way. Yesterday, I did the 1st set with them and stretched with them and then did the 8 regular pushups, paused it to stretch a little more and then did 6 bio’s while they finished 8. Best I’ve done yet!!

We are going to the gym today. Heather’s first time since getting the new hip! I’m thinking of doing the eliptical, some weights and abs. Been awhile since I’ve done anything with my ABS… my least favorite part to workout.

2 miles? No problem..

I just did my training run and it was the easiest 2 miles I’ve run yet! That’s good, it means I’m improving!!!! I have a 3 mile run on Sunday and I’m looking forward to it.  I finished my workout with a 10 minute upper body video.  That gives me 5 days of exercise this week, woo hoo!  I really have rocked this week,  I hope to see it on the scale tomorrow.

Next week will be the first time my friend Laura and I run together.  My training schedule calls for 4 miles.  I got to say, I’m a little nervous.  We’ve never run together and I’ve never run 4 miles before.  I’m sure it’s going to be good though. Laura is new to running distances and will be happy to go at my pace. (I hope)
