Weekend Update!

Posted by: Hilary In: Slump Buster Challenge!| Weight Loss Goal

I had a fun weekend but didn’t feel like blogging so here’s a quick update.
Saturday, my Aunt and I went downtown and checked out the route for the May 5k we are doing. First we drove the route to mark half mile and mile checkpoints. That helps me a TON to know where the hell I’m at. My Aunt has an injured tendon in her leg right now so we walked for a majority of the time but it’s nice to know where the hills are. After we were done with that I headed to the gym because I didn’t feel very worked out. I ran a mile and then walked a mile at an incline, got nice and sweaty! We went to my mom’s Saturday night for the MSU-UCONN game and I’m so proud of our food choices. Heather, Patti and I stopped and got subway for dinner. I had a salad too and then saw what my mom got for dessert, Carrot Cake. My Favorite. I figured out that it was 8 points a piece and I totally had enough left! It. Was. Delicious.

Sunday, Heather and I went grocery shopping and I bought a sweet potatoe. Never tried one before, anyone know how to cook it. I guess I’ll google it. We then headed to the gym so that I could show Heather some upperbody weight stuff. Did a few reps and some ab stuff and called it a day.

The new SB Challenge is going to be a good one. I still haven’t figured out what I can give up for the week. Might end up being the remote. I don’t go anywhere with an elevator or escalator. I could park at the back of the parking lots but is that giving something up? I’m also trying to figure out a new exercise to try this week. Maybe I’ll pull out an old Tae Bo(sp?) video. I’m still on track for my April Goal of working out 28/30 days! This is going to be a good month, I feel it!

SB Challenge : Clean Eating = 0/5
Water = 125/80oz today
= 1/5 days
Exercise = 45/275 minutes

April Goal = 6/28 days

How did the sweet potato come out? I like them baked also or in wedges wth a spicy mix on them. Great job eating before going to the basketball party! :)

Sweet potatos are one of my absolute favorite foods! I cook them all different ways, but one way that hasn’t been mentioned is cutting them up into chunks and frying them with cooking spray.
