81.5lbs lost in 208 days!

It’s been 208 days since I started living life! I got on the scale this morning and lost 3.5lbs! Yayy! I also figured out the I have lost 7″ off my chest, 7.75″ off my waist, 7.25″ off my hips and 2″ from my arm! Holy crap, that’s -24″ total. I can’t even imagine going back to my old ways. Getting on the scale I think back through my week to see what I would have changed, what I could have done more of or eaten less of. I’m usually happy with M-Th but F-Su I’m rarely very happy with my choices. I need to think about these things every morning and apply them to my day so that as I step on the scale at the end of the week, I know that I did everything possible. Seeing my weight drop is way more exciting than any food I could eat or any tv show I could watch instead of exercising!

I was thinking about what’s different this time than the other million times I’ve tried to lose weight.

~ I joined the YMCA! (this means I don’t go home after work to workout and find other things to do, which was always my problem)

~I found 3fatchicks and started this blog! (seeing all the amazing stories from “losers” past, reading other women’s struggles that I also have and thought I was alone with, joining different challenges to continue to push myself, and getting comments with congratulations and encouragements have been great)

~I eat more healthy foods! (before, I ate junk that was just low enough in calories to fit in my points. Now I focus on getting fresh fruits and veggies, eating whole grains and drinking lots of water)

~I FINALLY realized that the alternative is to DIE, young and unhappy!

**8:30pm Update**

Whoa!  Did the lower body workout tonight with Heather.  Haven’t done it in a few weeks with all the running I’ve been doing and it kicked my ASS!  We went out to dinner tonight and I couldn’t count my points.  I did really well though, had a few chips with salsa and then 3/4ths of a mini wet burrito.  I won’t count today as clean eating but I already got in my water and 30 mins extrra of exercise.  (actually 60 mins over!)

SB Challenge : Clean Eating = 4/5 days
Water = 112/80oz today
= 5/5 days
Exercise = 310/250

April Goal = 3/28

Next weeks host in CHASING PAVEMENTS - let’s hope she doesn’t kill us!

And now YOU are one of those big losers. Pretty much guaranteed that there are people out there reading this and finding their hope in what all you have accomplished. Good for you!!! :-D :-D

Wow! You have done so well… I def. read your blog for motivation. I want to run with my BF, but I always thought I couldn’t then I started to read your blog. I am going to give running a try- it is nice to know others are there are trying things I want to try! I hope your weekend is great!
