I was Running!

I started training for a 10k yesterday. It freaks me out a little but so did the 5k and I did that! I have 6 weeks until my next 5k and 13 weeks until the 10k. The program I’m doing is a 12 week schedule but I figured the extra week wouldn’t hurt. This week I run 3 times at an easy pace, 2 or 3 miles depending on the day. All I can do is try, my mind is so far the only thing that believes I can’t do it.

I found a new favorite breakfast. Multi-grain frozen waffles with raspberries and sugar free maple syrup! mmMmm… for 2 waffles, 1 cup rasp and 1/4 cup syrup it’s only 4 points! Plus the syrup actually taste like maple syrup not some nasty fat free crap.

Food is going well today and will continue to go well! I’m going to the gym after work for 30 minutes of cardio and then my back/shoulder/biceps workout which usually takes about an hour.

**7:00pm Update**
Just finished at the gym! Did 30 mins on the elliptical and 40 mins of weights. Why is it that I can motivate others to workout harder but when I’m by myself I always have a little voice saying “that’s enough, I can be done now even though I have a few more reps to go” I push through the voice almost all the time but it’s really hard.

For those who wanted to know about the syrup, it’s Log Cabin sugar free syrup. It has 35 cal, 0 fat, and 12 carbs (for you who count those) per 1/4 cup serv. It’s very yummy!

SB Challenge : Clean eating = 1/5 days
Water = 125/80oz today
= 1/5 days
Exercise = 130/250

Great Start…..NOT!

“Ohhh Crap!” Those were the first words out of my mouth this morning as I rolled over in bed to see my alarm clock. I overslept by about 45 minutes! I remember the alarm going off at 4:15am, then after turning it off instead of hitting snooze, I thought laying there for another minute or so would be OK. Turns out that was a bad idea! After the quickest shower ever I was out the door only 10 minutes behind schedule. About half way to work there was an accident that I had to detour from but I made it to work 5 minutes before we opened only forgetting my banana. wheww…

I had a good weekend. Game night was a blast and the food was amazing as always. Spent Sunday on the couch and computer and loved every second. Today I am in full Slump Buster mode. Already drank about 20oz of water, have a run planned for later and my meals are all planned for the day within my points including 5 fruits/veggies!

Glad to have all you Ladies in the challenge this week! Good Luck!

SB Challenge: Clean Eating = 0/5 days
Water = 105oz/80oz total
= 1/5 days
Exercise = 60/250 minutes

SB Challenge week 4

Slump Buster Challenge week 4!

~250 minutes of exercise

~5 days of clean eating (set your own limitations)

~80oz of water per day

Don’t worry if you mess up a day of eating or drinking, it can be fixed! For everyday you don’t eat clean, add 30 minutes of exercise. For everyday you don’t get in your 80oz of water, add 30 minutes of exercise.

Don’t want to eat clean or drink your water all week?  You can still win this challenge!  All you have to do is 550 minutes of exercise,  that’s just 1 hour and 50 minutes a day.

My guess is that it will be easier to stay OP and CHUG that water!!

What happens if you don’t get in all your exercise minutes??  Good question!!  Those who don’t make their exercise goal have to post their WORST PICTURE EVER TAKEN!  Succeed… and you get this!  Good Luck!

Now, who’s in!?

Yay!

I’m under 250! I weighed-in this morning at 249lbs……..wooohoooo!!!!!! I’m only 9lbs away from my 3rd mini goal and 22lbs away from losing 100lbs! How awesome is that?

Today is the last day of week 3 SB Challenge and I’m going to kick foods butt. It helps to know that I get to eat yummy Greek food tomorrow night at Game Night. We canceled last month because one of my friends had the flu so I am very excited to see everyone. The last game night we had was in late November, which was a little over 40lbs ago. I think some of my friends will be suprised (I hope) at my progress. Always fun to get a few compliments!

I came up with the Slump Buster Challenge week 4 last night, including an awesome award! I’ll post those Saturday so that everyone has time to celebrate with their Chicken Trophy about completing week 3’s challenge.

Good Luck Chickies! Only 1 more day, You Can Do It!

**10:00pm UPDATE**

Another day of clean eating and it feels great!!

Finally!

My mom bought me a shirt for Christmas 2006 in a size 22/24. I wore a 26/28 at the time but didn’t want to say anything. I took it home and put it in my closet. As the years past and I moved into wearing a 30/32 top, I’d see it in there and think, “just trow the effin’ thing away, it’ll never fit.” When I started WW in September I tried it on, yuck. Then the next month, and the next and…. Two weeks ago I told Patti that I had a shirt she could have because it was never going to fit or look right on me. This morning, I had extra time before work and I saw it peeking out at me in the closet. What the hell… I figured I might as well try again. IT FITS AND LOOKS GOOD! Sorry Patti, you can’t have it anymore. :)

**8:00pm UPDATE**

I had a good workout with Patti tonight.  Stayed on plan again today (YES!) and added a couple miles to finish the challange!

SB Challenge: clean eating = 4 day
                      miles = 10

This is why I’m Hott!

I went to Map My Run this morning and made myself a new 5k route.  This website is AWESOME if you run, walk or ride your bike and want to know how many miles you’re going.  Check it out!  I mapped out a route and took off.  I ran THE WHOLE 3.16 miles in 39:55!!!!!  I  feel incredible right now!

SB Challenge: clean eating = 3 day
                      miles = 7.86

**9:00pm UPDATE**

The rest of my day went well. All I did was work but how’s that different from any other day? :) I have been eating amazingly this week thanks to the Slump Buster girls! Tiny2b has asked me to host next weeks challenge so be looking for that on Saturday after everyone’s had a chance to post their chicken trophy, which is hilarious and I can’t wait to have it! Only 2.14 miles and 2 days of clean eating left and that thing is MINE!

Boring!

Not to much excitement for the day.  I worked and then went to the gym.  All eating has been GREAT, of course.  No way am I blowing this challenge!

SB Challenge: clean eating = 2 day
                      miles = 4.7

Gonna kick this weeks boot-tay!

On Sunday, I relaxed all day!  No exercise the day after the race and I stayed in my points.  Same for Monday, the first day of the challenge.  I still get to eat 3 points for a snack tonight.  I plan on having a serving of grapes and a WW ice cream fudge bar.  mmMMmmmm…  When I went to the gym tonight, I got on the treadmill for an hour.  I went about 3.19 miles.  I walked a slow half mile to warmup my legs, then ran 1 and a half miles, (my most at once) and followed with another mile or so to finish the hour.  I have to say that I don’t enjoy running on the treadmill any more after running outside.  It’s very boring!!

SB Challenge: clean eating = 1 day
                      miles = 3.19

ohhhh P.S.   I bought a new shirt on Friday - 22/24!!!  Woohoo!  That’s 2 shirt sizes down!

I DID IT!

I kicked that race’s ASS! I finished in 40:58, by personal best. It went really well and I can’t wait for the next one. I’m going to train hard for the next 7 weeks and run the whole way at the 5/3rd Run. I only had to walk a few short distances today, so that was good. It’s much easier to run when you have people cheering you on every hundred feet! Maybe I should see who’s available on my normal workout days? Just ask random friends to sit by the road and cheer when I come by… lol. I’m sure they would LOVE that!

Looking forward to week 3’s challenge. I know I’ll get the miles in but the food is what I will really focus on. 5 days of eating OP? I think I can do it!

My Aunt Anne, Me and Patti after the race!

Tomorrow is the BIG day!

IRISH JIG, HERE I COME!

I can’t wait for this race tomorrow! I did a little running yesterday. My mom’s block is 1 mile, so I grabbed her dog and went for a run. My first lap I took about 4 walk breaks. It was so cold, my lungs couldn’t handle it. It was also a little off because of the dog, obviously she didn’t care about timing and such. She just wanted to smell and chase squirrels. I left her at home and added a pair of gloves for my 2nd lap, which I ran the WHOLE mile in only 11:58, my best time yet! Then for the 3rd time around I added another block and grabbed the dog again. We just walked at a fast pace. Patti and I also did our chest/tri/abs day which, have I mentioned, I HATE AB DAY! ouchie… That gave me the time I needed to finish the SB Challenge.

This morning I had a 3lb loss! Thank goodness because I wasn’t sure I had done enough M-Th after how aweful I ate last weekend. This week, I would love to lose 4lbs because that will put me at 80lbs lost! I plan on eating OP and working out 7 days this week! (I’m counting the Irish Jig on Sat as my workout) I also decided with my new running routine that I need to add some stretches to my day. My plan is to try and stretch really well for about 10 minutes a day. (in addition to my stretching I do before I run, obviously) I really want to be careful because an injury would be bad for my weight loss! I read some articles on different running web pages (I’m in the beginning stages of addition to running, lol) and have been trying to be protective of my knees. I am still a 251lbs woman running around, ya know, I’m sure my knees are thinking “Holy Hell, what is she doing to us!?” They’ll be OK, I got their back!
