Being bored can kill everything…..

When you get to know me, you will realize that I work ALL OF THE TIME! I currently have 3 jobs. At my full time job it is not uncommon to sit at work and be bored all day. This kills me in a couple different ways.
1) Who wants to sit on their arse all day?
2) While I am just sitting here, I can see my lunch box and it calls to me.

I have gotten better since we started WW again by just packing a breakfast and snack. I start work very early sometimes and might be up for 7 or 8 hours before it is lunch time. On those days I feel like there are never enough points for me to eat all day. I am trying to find more 0 - 2 point snacks that I can munch on without ruining my whole day. Any suggestion would be nice?!

Aside from that I feel good so far this week. I woke up on Monday at 7:15 and let myself adjust to being awake by stretching and then did a workout video. I have a great video with 4 segments that are all 10 mins long. I did the balance and flexability portion which is a little like yoga and felt great. I plan on going for a walk this afternoon unless the rain comes like I keep hearing. Otherwise maybe I will attempt the Kickboxing Cardio portion of the tape. It really kicks my butt, but I like it!

The New Me…beginning!

I’m hoping this blog will allow me to think out loud.  Here’s what I have been doing since starting Weight Watchers, 3 weeks ago on 9/8/08.  This is my second time trying WW and I already feel more comfortable and committed to the program.  My sister and I are supporting, which is the only way to “diet”.  I don’t know how anyone can achieve this type of goal without a support system.  Anyone reading this who doesn’t have a good friend also improving (I hate the word “diet”) there life, I would love to help encourage you!

I have currently lost 17lbs!  Yaayy!  My first weight loss goal is 32lbs by Oct. 31st.  I am starting slowly with my exercise plan. The last time I started WW, I made a goal to work out EVERYDAY for atleast 10 mins.  That, for me, is an unrealistic goal.  How do you go from working out, ummmmm….never, to working out everyday?  All I did was set myself up to fail from the beginning.  It says in the WW book to start small and just get moving!  So I have set my first goals to:
          1. park in the back of the parking lot
          2. work out 2 days a week

Right now my biggest challenge is that I work a lot. I have 3 jobs and that means not being at home some days from 5:30am until 9pm.  It can sometimes be hard to plan and prepare 3 meals the night before, that can be put in a lunchbox and still be good to eat by dinner.  If anyone has the same problem and has come up with something good, I’d love some help!

For now, I’m just trying to take it one day at a time!
