Well this is day two of really watching my calories. I got a footlong BMT from subway today. I had half of it for lunch and the other half for dinner. I had one bag of baked lays with the first sandwich. I also had a can of coke zero. The calorie total was 1220. I may have a few pieces of bite sized candy later, but might skip it. I’m feeling really good about staying at around 1200 calories today. Didn’t get any exercise in today, but it’s going to be a long weekend out of town and I didn’t want to be sore the whole time. I’ll start back up on Tuesday.

So I woke up today and had two pieces of whole wheat toast (35 cals each) and some butter. Total of 150 cals. Then I went to the gym and ran a mile and did some push ups. For lunch I had a turkey sandwich with one slice of cheese and some mustard. That’s a total of 200 cals. That brings my daily total so far to 350 cals. I think for work I will pick up a jr. cheesburger and a sour creme and chive potato from Wendy’s. I don’t have much here at home and need something higher in cals to get me up to my cals for the day. The Wendy’s meal will total 610, bringing my daily cals to 960. I’m going to be shooting for 1200-1500 cals/day. So I’ll still have some calories to play around with tonight for a snack. This weekend will be a little hard. My fiance and I are going out of town to visit friends. I’m going to watch my portion sizes and try to do the best I can. I’ll go grocery shopping when we get back and try to get a lot of low cal healthy stuff that I’ll like to eat. I really have veggies and fruit, but will try to pick some up that I like.
Well time for me to get ready for work.

So that pizza hut venture was a total fail. I just calculated it all up to 1970 calories. Oh and that doesn’t include some of the chicken I ate earlier. It ended up not turning out right, so I tossed it, but think I had 3/4 of a chicken breast. I definetly won’t be eating anything until tomorrow, just drink my water.
I’m going to have to go shopping for some healthy food. Stuff I can snack on and it not be bad for me. This will be hard, I’m such a picky eater..

So I started off well with cooking a chicken breast coated with milk, flour, and french fried onions. It was a large breast so I was going to eat half of it. However, it didn’t turn out well. I think the chicken was freezer burnt. My brother then came over to help me unload a new coffee table from my car. We then went out to eat. Pizza hut buffet. Ugh, such a bad choice. I ate 4 small to medium sized slices of cheese pizza, half a breadstick, and three cinnamon sticks. Plus half of a pepsi. Ugh. I’ve decided I wont eat tonight at work or when I come in. Hopefully I didn’t do too much damage. Gonna try to estimate how many calories that was a little later tonight when I have more time. I’m going to take my water bottle to work and just drink as much as possible. Didn’t go to the gym, going to shoot for getting back in there tomorrow before work. Been battling some nasty headaches all week. Hoping I get through this one soon.

So here I am posting my first blog ever. Never thought I’d be apart of this type of thing, but I need support and a place to share my successes and failures of my weight loss journey.
To start out I’m 21 and female. I’m 165lbs/5’4 and want to get down to 130lbs. I’m one semester away from graduating with my Associate’s degree in criminal justice. This summer I’m getting married and hope to get hired on to a police department. That means passing a fitness test consisting of 25 push ups, running 1.5 miles in under 16 mins and some amount of seconds I don’t rememeber, 29 sit-ups in a minute, and jumping 16 inches. That’s a pretty tall order for me. I should be fine witht he run. Been doing that more. My biggest fears are the sit-ups, push ups and the jump. The pushups probably more than the rest.
I’ve started going to the gym. I’d love to get a personal trainer for motivation and help, but I just can’t afford it. So I’m hoping, you the reader, can sub for the motivational part and if you have any suggestions or advice, I welcome it.
I have to start eating better, PERIOD! And working out reguarly, not this skipping the gym when I want to be lazy crap. This is my career I’m talking about. I’ve always wanted to be a cop and I’ll be darned if a fitness test is going to stand in my way!
Starting tomorrow I will begin logging my daily food intake and exercise. Hope to get some much needed support!
