So I dug out the home scale again this morning with a voided body and no food hanging out in my stomach
200 Baby!! TWO FREAKING HUNDRED!!!
That is a 7lb loss!!!

Ok, I think I have this thing more or less set up. So I will do a run down of the beginning of my journey up until today. That will catch any readers up on my journey this far.
About 3 weeks ago I went to the Dr. I weighed in at 212. That same day, I joined a gym! I started getting active at SparkPeople. I created a WL Journal on a message board community I am a member of. Started making sure I am drinking lots of water, and have been using the fitness and food trackers Spark to know exactly what I am doing. And reactivated myself at 3FC where I was a member in the past.
A week later and 4 gym sessions under my belt I weighed in at 210, both at my Dr (differnt then the first) and on the gym scale… now this could be a scale difference, but I’ll gladly take the 2lb loss… but agreed NOT to count it because of using differnt scales then my original weigh in.
As of Yesterday (Saturday, May 2nd 09) The gym scale has me at 207!! Thats a 5lbs (Recalulated to 3) loss in 3 weeks! I am very excited! I know it is not a huge loss in the grand scheme of things, but it is a loss - something I am doing is working and I am excited!
My gym schedule is MWF and the occasional Saturday morning.
I have a work out buddy and Love her, she really helps me get my butt to the gym! We are doing good motivating each other!
We started out with 30 minutes of cardio, we are up to 45 minutes now and will hold there for a couple of weeks and then start pushing a full hour. The goal is to get in 30 minutes of cardio and another 30 minutes of weight training. I know the bulk of our weight loss, is going to come with the cardio.
And speaking of cardio… I was pulling a 24 minute mile… as of Yesterday, I broke my record and came in at 19 minutes! I am very excited about this as well! My current goal is to bring in a 15 minute mile on the Treadmil.
My other friend has been on this journey for a while now and has learned so much! She is my virtual trainer. I love her to peices and she has been a huge inspiration to me. Together we have started what we are calling the Baby Step Challenge.
The baby step challenge is 5 straight days of x. Then at the end of thte 5 days you either modify what you were doing, add to what you were doing or start something new.
I now have two baby step challenges under my belt and will be starting round 3 tomorrow (Monday, May 4th 09).
My first challenge consisted or 5 squats and 10 crunches. I know that doesnt sound like much, but when I have lead a pretty much inactive lifestyle for the past few years it is huge for me. My second challenge, was 20 crunches, 10 squats and 2 sets of 12 wall push ups.
Moving in to round 3, I am going to go for 25 straight crunches, 10 reverse crunches, 2 sets of 10 squats, 2 sets of 15 wall push ups.
I am also adding in this week Weight Training with my 5lb dumb bells, this will not be a baby step challenge but regular weight training which I plan to do 3-4 days a week. I have 3 differnt exercises so far that I want to try, so I will start there and then work my way up to more. I am not sure how many reps of each I will do… I am thinking 2 sets of 10 to start with.
And I think that is everything to bring it all up to date!

So this is my first post in my new 3FC Blog!
Let me start by saying I have no idea what the hell I am doing LoL… this if my first “real” blog, so I am just trying to find my way around right now and how to set everything up! Once that is done… I’ll come back and do a more informative post!
