I just figured out my average calories for the past 51 days (June 9th-July 29th). I guess that’s how long I have been tracking my food on DailyPlate. So, the average calories I ate was 1676 calories. Not great. Not terrible. I would love to trend that down to about 1500 calories.
Yesterday (Tuesday) I had 1380 calories. I forget what I wrote in my last blog, but I think it was just a SmartOnes frozen meal and FiberOne bar after the last foods I logged. I feel like that was good.
Today, I am trying a SlimFast day. I have a bunch in my fridge that have been there forever. I’ve never used them on a regular basis, and I don’t plan on using them everyday now, but I figured trying them a few times this week won’t hurt. I drank a SlimFast shake on the way home from my overnight shift, and I didn’t wake up hungry after I napped for a few hours. I’m usually famished! I plan on having one with some iced coffee and maybe some fruit before going into work. Then, I’ll pack a healthy dinner. (Actually, probably just a Lean Cuisine because I have no energy to cook after night shifts. And a yogurt with fresh blueberries!) My goal is 1000 calories. I’ve had too many high-calorie days lately. DailyPlate says I should eat something like 916 calories a day to lose weight. I know that’s too low, but 1000 calories a few times a week shouldn’t be bad.
Okay, I’ve gotta get in the shower and start moving along. Hope everyone has a good day!
I have read about people cycling their calories w/great success…one day of lower calories followed by a day w/higher calories. I suppose it’s kind of like interval training w/workouts. Let us know if it works, I might have to borrow your idea.
