Okay …. so I have been missing from the blog for several days.

Have I been good but too busy to write????

Have I just stayed away because I’ve been soooo bad that I can’t even face all of you???? 

Have I given up on dieting all together and been too busy to write because I have had an ice cream in one hand and a McDonald’s Big Mac in the other???

Well, the truth is, I have been very good ….. and very busy. I worked 12 hour shifts, three days in a row. I typically leave at 530am and get home at 830pm, making them true 15 hour days. No time to write. And after the first shift, on Tuesday, I ended up doing a crazy 20 minute speedwalk through Boston to get to another hospital to catch my friend having her first baby. I was a little too late for the birth, but I wasn’t going to be directly in the room anyway. She had a beautiful, perfect baby boy. (Not one of those ugly babies you have to pretend are cute!!!) That day, I was out from 530am until midnight. Like I said, I’ve been busy.

But the diet has been good. No bad days at all this week. No alcohol to raise the calorie totals!! And I was running on my days off. I plan on starting up again tomorrow. Anywhere, here is kind of a summary of the week. Next weigh-in is Monday. I’m hoping for 2 pounds down.

Monday - 1265 calories (ran 2 miles)

Tuesday - 994 calories (ran 2 miles)

Wednesday - 1585 (worked 12 hours shift as nurse, and 20 minute speed walk)

Thursday - 1200 (worked 12 hours)

Friday - 1320 (worked 12 hours)

Saturday - 942 (not much of anything)
