PROGRESS REPORT

Starting weight (7/5/2009):          212.8

Last week’s weight (2/21/2010):  175.0

This week’s weight (2/28/2010):  171.8

This week’s weight loss / gain:     Lost 3.2 lbs

Total weight loss:                          Lost 41 pounds

All I can say is… YES!!!

I finally reached (and surpassed) my goal of losing 40 lbs.  FINALLY!

This week I was gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free.  It was good and bad.  It certainly did not resolve all of my digestive issues, but I had enough success with it that I’ve decided I’m going to continue.  And, who knows, maybe those changes helped push me over the 40-pound mark.

“Lose forty pounds” was an elusive goal that I have been fantasizing about for years.  I promised myself that I would do something amazing if I reached this goal.  Here are some ideas below.  Let me know if you have any other ideas:

  1. Spa day - take a weekday off work, have a deep tissue massage, body wrap, and spend the rest of the day by the pool.
  2. Wine tasting weekend - go with a girlfriend overnight to nearby Napa Valley for wine tasting, gourmet food, and relaxation.
  3. Ski trip - head out to Tahoe for a weekend of skiing, sledding, and maybe a bit of gambling.
  4. Sports Shopping - buy some new gear for the gym (new workout clothes, underwater headphones for the pool, lap counter, new shoes, etc.)
  5. Fashion Shopping - go on a shopping spree to get some decent clothes that actually fit.
  6. Vegas - go to vegas and party!

NEXT MINI-GOAL:  Get into the 160s

NEXT MAJOR-GOAL:  147.8 (another 24 lbs)

    WOW, CONGRATULATIONS!

    I hope to be following in your footsteps in the 40 pound loss achievement before too long (I made 35 a few weeks ago)

    Great job, keep it up!
