Crappy Dappy Day! (Food Journal for 7/8/09)

Not sure if the date 7-8-9 is somehow cursed or something, but today was a rotten day for just about everyone I crossed paths with (myself included!).  Seemed like it was just nonstop problems, complaints, and whining.  I work for a company whose employees have a “poor me” mentality.  And I’m a cold hearted bitch-manager with no sympathy for anyone about anything, so we’re natural adversaries.  I really am a nice person, just not a nice manager.

On to more important things….

Today’s food diary:

Breakfast is the same every day:  a double espresso with about an ounce of half & half (not pictured) when I first wake up.  After my workout I have DanActive Yogurt “Immunity” drink, and 2 slices of whole grain toast with butter substitute. Lets see if tomorrow I’m awake enough to remember to snap a shot of the espresso.

Lunch = Amy’s Garden Lasagna (pictured above)

Snacks (all pictured above except the yogurt) = string cheese, bell pepper strips, carrot & celery sticks, blueberries, and yesterday’s yogurt (TJ’s Honey Greek NonFat)

Dinner = Grilled Cheese Sandwich on Crusty Italian Bread with Dijon & Heirloom Tomatoes (dee-lish!).  I made it a lot like a panini, so I tried to capture the yumminess of it in the photo.  Not sure that worked out as I planned….

Fitday summary is below.  Looks like I’m getting too much fat in my diet, which I think could be coming from my “butter” substitute and half & half.  And that sucks because I love my butter substitute and half & half.

    I am loving your blog, seriously.

    What is the fat % you think you should have? Zone diet is 30/30/40, and there are a lot of studies saying fat is satisfying.

    I did the low fat thing for years and usually tried for under 30%, but you’re already there…

    I think you could be right. Its certainly not intentional that I happen to be close to that 30%, but I’ll admit I’ve been generally satisfied with my calories, which never happens!
