Six interesting facts about me:

1.  I’m a graphic artist & a waitress at our restaurant.

2.  I love to cook (and eat). (Patty, I saw no reason to change this answer from yours :))

3.  My husband and I dated for almost 13 years before getting married.

4.  I like words. Word puzzles, twists on words, puns on words, books full of words all strung together into a wordy tale ~ I like ‘em.

5.  I like to poke around in antique shops but I’m usually too cheap to buy anything.

6.  I was the 13th generation of our family to live on the same property ~ and then I moved. My DH finds this fascinating, anyway.

I’ve used up valuable workout time raking my brain to think of things people might find interesting about moi. I’ve come to the realization that although I know many interesting peeps, I’m just not that interesting. I’m okay with that :D Guess I like being interested as opposed to being interesting.

Yesterday DH and I went to a food show. Food shows are where our restaurant suppliers show their latest products, and they are great fun to attend. We usually try to hit one or two a year to get ideas and rev up excitement for what we do every day. Yesterday’s show was a smaller one than the ones we usually attend, only filling one large ball room of a country club, heh-heh. Love the food shows! Not only do we get ideas for our restaurant, we also get shopping bags to fill with samples. Kinda like an adult Trick or Treat session. DH refuses to tote a bag ~ that’s okay ~ I picked up enough stuff to owe hours and hours to the elliptical at the gym.
Just like Trick or Treat, when we got home I emptied our bounty out upon the kitchen table and DS and I laid claims to various items. Cookies, packages of different snacks, seafood sausages(!) and salmon in kry-vac packaging, biscotti, bottles of hot sauce, packs of gourmet coffees… gotta love food shows.
Spent the evening reading the latest Diane Gabaldon book surrounded by crinkled up wrappers of sample goodies. Bliss.
Now I must go pay the piper at the gym.
DS, at the tender age of 13, has connections ~ he is going to what all us Philly fans hope is the last game before they proceed to the World Series. Today, DS would like to go get a buzz cut with a “P” on the back of his head. I’ll post a picture if this happens…

Sitting at the computer this morning, I rolled my left shoulder and commented to DH “I must have read too hard last night.” He laughed and came over and gave me a mini-massage. Still hurts ~ I skipped the free weights arm routine I usually do and just stuck to cardio today. Did a half hour on the elliptical until my feet were numb (does this happen to anyone else?), and a half hour on the tready. Still in the hole calorie-wise I think.
