Entry #2 - Weight Watchers

You know, the thing I probably love most about Weight Watchers is the freedom.  In the beginning, I let myself have anything I want, but I did track the points I ate.  Eventually I came to realize that hey, I would rather eat a whole lot of vegetables than 1/2 a scoop of ice cream…  I guess that’s what they call progress.  Weight Watchers seems to be exactly what I need to keep myself on track and to hold myself accountable.  Today was actually a very good diet and exercise day.  I had a big lunch, but was full all day until dinner where I had a simple salad (which is totally not me, I usually hate salad).  Having some 94% fat free kettle corn popcorn as a snack before bed, too, and it’s only one point for a whole mini bag!  And as a workout, since it was raining outside, I tried out one of the Carmen Elekra Dance dvd’s my sister gave me.  It actually wasn’t half bad and I broke out in a sweat in no time.

What makes all this even better is that when I went to visit my grandma today, she said she could tell that I’ve lost weight.  Man, does that make all the tracking and healthy food decisions worth it.  17 pounds and counting!

Entry #1

Well, I’ve seen links directing me towards this website, 3fatchicks.com, and I finally decided to join and figure out what it was all about.  So far, I have to say it looks like an amazing support system to really help me stay motivated as I try to lose weight, and in turn maybe I can help motivate some of the others who are struggling just like me.

I’m not completely sure where to start, but here it goes anyway!
