I was doing really well before I got sick but it seems that since I got to feeling better the past week or so, I’ve been eating like crazy. I can’t seem to get enough to eat! My appetite has increased a lot and have been eating out a lot which is one of the worst things I could do for my weight.
While I was sick, I wasn’t eating since I had a bout of the stomach flu and was throwing everything up but as soon as I could start eating, I did, and it looks like I’m making up for lost time. I’ve gained 5lbs (now hanging around 227lbs and have a very strong desire to go back to eating the way I was before but it seems too hard to do right now. Yes, I have a tremendous amount of stress in my life right now and running on empty (exhaustion) is not helping. I finally have the next 2 days off but once again, I’ll be cleaning my own house and yard before I head back to work on Thursday and do it there too.
I thought I had lost enough weight that the fibromyalgia had gone away because I hadn’t been sore at all in months but the other day when I was cleaning my bedroom I took my gel mattress pad off and slept the next 2 nights on the regular mattress and soon learned I still have the dreaded fibromyalgia… I have been in so much pain it’s been hard to work so last night my husband put the gel pad back on the bed and I slept like a baby and woke up without a lot of pain. So I guess losing weight is not a factor in the “fibro” battle but we’ll have to wait and see if it does have some leverage as the pounds go under the 200lb marker. Only time will tell. So tonight, I had the other half of my assorted 12″ sub from Subway and two bottles of water. I had the first half at lunch today while I was at work. I haven’t been eating too well at work the past few weeks because the food they’re providing has been really sketchy and I’ve gotten sick off it a few times so I’m trying to avoid their meals now which is also contributing to my bad eating habits since I don’t have easy access to the fresh fruits and veggies like I did a month ago. This is so not a good thing.
Okay, just did the Subway calorie calculator online and discovered my sub was not too bad afterall. I always get a load of onions and sub sauce which is a vinegar base so it’s fat and calorie free but packs a nice punch. The bread and meats are what kills you. My 12″ assorted sub totals 780cals, 33g fat, sodium sits at a whopping 2840mg, 88mg carbs, 38g protein. I’m sure glad I don’t eat processed meats normally. That’s crazy how much sodium is in that stuff! But I only ate half at lunch today then the other half at dinner tonight so 390cals were consumed at both meals and I’m completely satisfied. The remainder of the calories consumed today were fruit, juice, and some wild rice for snack. I love the nutty-ness of different rice like wild rice, red rice, black rice and so on. My all-time favorite though is still red rice which is so good! And as always, I’ve drank literally a TON of water today.
