Sooo

I just read on a message board that 20 minutes of cardio before breakfast is worth an hour and a half later on. Which motivated to stick in TJ Learn and Burn and do the 15 minute workout on there. Fun! I wasn’t quite ready for it so my joints are a bit achy but I could get used to it.

Not sure how true it is, but hey, every little bit helps. Workout day before yesterday was…something or other. I forget, but it was good. Food has been decent, I’m finding my hunger decreasing again, now that Aunt Flo has been here the last 2 days. On the day it starts, I am ravenous though.

Right now I’m eating a bowl of Smart Start and feelin’ pretty good!

Some are these are repeat quotes because I keep a set and rotate through them, and I figure you can’t be told something good too many times!

161 again!

Haven’t posted for a few days! I had guests for the last 4 days, two who stayed overnight and two who came for lunch and dinner. And boy have I been eating! I thought I’d gained for sure but I stepped on the scale this morning to assess the damage and it hit me back with 161!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Studying on the math thing is going well, I’m a lot more confident about some kinds of questions. I’m sure with more practice it will get easier.

My skin has become horribly itchy, dry and crack-y!! WTF! I think I am either over-moisturizing it, or more likely I need more vitamins. I’m going to commit to having a multi-vitamin daily, without fail! Also a vitmin E capsule every few days won’t hurt. And I think a bottle of olive oil will be nice to smooth on instead of these moisturizers.

Dance the Chakras

Mizu, this is a great Kundalini DVD by Ravi Singh and Ana Brett(Raviana) - you can find it on amazon. It was amazing!! There are 2 yoga sets (I did set 1) followed by a selection of dances. The whole thing can be programmed via a matrix. I think this is their best DVD yet!!!

Food was  good, it was an UP day, so indulged in some cookies. The great news is the weight loss is holding!!!

Kickboxing

Yesterday’s workout was Turbo Jam CP2 - so much fun!! I really pushed my heartrate to my max. I almost felt like I didn’t get enough of a cooldown in since I had a friend coming to dinner. I don’t think I can have dinner with people who like to eat early dinners unless I get a shorter workout in(this was 45 mins) or skip working out altogether orrrr cook the day earlier! Why didn’t I think of that last one before! That would work for a lot of things like stews and soups which actually taste better the next day.

In other news, I forgot to tell you guys that I got a new DVD player and it is magnificent!! Not one freeze in the TJ DVD and I KNOW this DVD has a glitch in the cooldown. I’m so happy. :D

Food was decent - last night’s dinner was salmon with a mustard and dill glaze - so yummy and quick!!! Takes about 15-20 mins - let me know if you want the recipe.

I got my Dance the Chakras DVD from Amazon recently(it was on sale!) so I’ll be doing that one today.

Yes Y4C, that IS Thailand. :) Looks so peaceful.

More yoga

Today’s workout was Forrest Yoga 1 from yogadownload.com. I got the one with no music and the instructions were just sooo repititive with no variation at all, it just got on my nerves. She has a good voice though, I might go back and get the one with the music. I also got #2 so I’ll try that later. I was really looking forward to these too, people recommend them so highly. :(

Yogadownload.com is offering a free class with a coupon code: YDLFRCL if anyone wants to try out their paid practices! Not sure when it’s valid till, but give it a try.

Food has been good - lots of tea though. :)

Eoin Finn + Crunch

Yogaforchocolate I have something for you!! :D (And anyone else who wants it :P)

So I keep raving about Eoin and I remembered that he had a yoga quickie download online and hunted for it. Here you go:

25 minutes - and it feels like so much more! Hope you enjoy it. :)

Today’s workout was a bit of Fat burning dance blast(20ish minutes) + the above yoga quickie.

Food has been good, I am trying a bit of cycling and it’s working! Tomorrow is a ‘down’ day so gonna watch the intake.

161!!

Oh my God - maybe Yoga really works!!! Well yoga and a modified version of the EODD!! Yay!!!

Leslie + Yoga Zone

]Today I went over to New York so I had bagels and tuna for lunch, which may not have been the best idea calorically, but it’s all that was provided at the meeting. :roll

I got a cup of coffee at the 7-11 and then skipped the one I would usually have when I got home, which I’m quite pleased about because really, too much caffeine dependancy is not good!

For dinner, my body was craving Ramen for some reason. But I held out and had a Lean Cuisine, since lunch was already on the heavy side. Quite pleased about that too!

Workoutwise, I did Leslie Sansone 1 mile followed by Yoga Zone Total Body Conditioning. I had forgotten how much fun the YZ workouts are! Beautiful locations, nice instructors and no sun-sals. I like sun-sals as much as the next person but it gets to be a bit much when you’re already tired.

Fatasianchick, Classical Stretch really DOES help with the back. I wish the woman would learn to cue properly so I would feel better about buying more about her stuff. :D

PS: I had a friend over for dinner yesterday and it was rather disorganized soooo no workout.

PPS: I’m also studying like crazy for my GMAT which is coming up at the end of february. I only scheduled it a couple of weeks back so not much time!!

New stuff up at Anthropologie - GOD I LOVE THAT PLACE! Everything is like from some fairyland. :)

CS + Yoga

Today I did one of the Classical Stretch episodes I recorded off the TV a while ago. This woman has great exercises but a. she does very few reps of each (which may just be a function of the short time available on TV) and b. she has NO FREAKIN’ IDEA how to cue! She starts an exercise, stops partway, chats a bit about the muscles or the beach she is standing on or whatever she feels like talking about. Then she just picks up again and carries on without cuing. You cannot take your eyes off the TV for a minute, and that’s not very conducive to good stretching - but I think I got a decent stretch in anyway.

My back is still wonky. It had almost recovered but then I ran into this woman at the bottom of the stairs who was trying to lug a Rug Doctor up 3 stories by herself, and I couldn’t just watch her struggle with that thing, so I helped her and that didn’t really do wonders for my back. And then my new neighbor move in and she had a giant suitcase that she was planning to carry up as well, no idea why she thought she could manage that by herself LOL. Anyway, probably added to it. Now it feels like a disc is hurt-y, I hope it’s nothing serious. :(

After CS I did the Kundalini Yoga Superset off the Dr. Yoga DVD and felt pretty great. Today I was able to do the breath of fire well…I think the key was in using my stomach muscles. So happy about that. :)

Buttercups and bellflowers is a nice light, airy scent that is VERY unsuited to winter. So back to Lavender it is - my favorite smell. :)

I am getting quite a bit achy and the headaches are not leaving…I wonder if this is like the time I did the Yamuna Zake stuff. It relaxed me totally when I did it but then later I would find myself so tense. Maybe once you find that calm place, not being calm, feels a lot worse? :-/

Weigh in

ScaleDown to 161.5 today. That’s the first time in a long time and I’m going to hold onto it! I guess the Lean Cuisines are helping - I must stock up on more! :D
