Day 5… I shall have that glorious chicken!
Uncategorized March 27th, 2009Well here we are, day 5, and seriously… I think I have lost a little over 2 pounds this week. Did I really snack that much? Or is it because I took a rest day? I dunno, but I’ll take it. I really, really am thankful for you girls keeping me on track. I mean, how could I live without that which is the golden chicken?!
I have been working on spending more time with my kids. I know, it sounds funny to say that, since that is essentially all I do, but I mean really spending time with them and not being distracted by the computer, or the tv. We played a board game last night (and I won!) and it was so fun. They are the super coolest kids, ever! It’s crazy how much time I can just blow doing other things and only halfway paying attention to them.
Not sure what I am doing as far as exercise today because I have to do our state taxes, and we have to file 3 different states returns. Since I do accounting, but I don’t have tax software, I’m going to do them the old fashioned way… paper and pencil. I looked and it would cost us almost 200 bucks to file all three online. Screw that! That’s a cute pair of shoes! So I’m going to do the work this morning (during my usual workout time) and then go buy some cute shoes!
Then I promised the boys I’d walk to get them from school and we’d head to the park. I hope I get the taxes done in time to get in some workout before I get the boys, otherwise I’ll have to do it tonight and I HATE putting it off.
B: the usual
S: grande soy decaf cappuccino
L: eating right frozen pizza

Pre-dinner S: 220 g baby carrots, 1.5 Tbsp hummus

PWS: 1 oz peanuts
water: 13
Total calories: 1606

Well that was fun . I seriously just spent about 4 hours screwing with 3 different sets of tax rules for partial year residents, non residents, and military exceptions. ARGH! And to top it off, my printer is being a poop and will not wifi, so I did all of this in my bedroom… on the floor! I couldn’t reach the usb anywhere I could even begin to set up a make shift desk. My booty is numb. ha! And, aforementioned STUPID printer, which is new btw, had some corrupt driver and was spooling wrong, but i couldn’t fix it, as I already had the returns done and they can’t be saved… only printed, so I had to manually move them from the spooled folder EVERY time! For all the returns and worksheets… let’s just estimate it a bazillion times. And now? It is 1:30, I have my jammies still on (even though I have dropped the boys off at school AND driven to Starbucks… I am so WT), and my kid is not napping. I don’t think a workout is gonna happen right now. Maybe after I get the boys from school like yesterday? Let’s hope.

I had so much fun playing at the park and playing Candy Land with the men. Seriously, they are too freaking cute. We were going to celebrate, but the hubby had to go into work for a while, so that ruined it, but tomorrow? Party ON! The boys BOTH got their report cards today, and both PERFECT. As in perfect. They are so amazing. And my 10 year old’s teacher from last year stopped me as I was leaving to tell me what a great job I am doing with the boys… to tell me that he is so proud of my son and he hears such great things about him. I was so proud. It’s nice to be recognized as a part of the success of my son. He is so perfect that sometimes I forget that I helped make him that way
I can say that now… he is still only 10 and doesn’t like girls or fast cars yet. My tune may change in the next 4 or 5 years! I was always a perfect student, too… and then high school… whoa! My grades never slipped, but my choices? Oh man, they were B-A-D! As Alanis Morissette said… “you know how us Catholic girls can be…” Ha!
I did the spin bike for half an hour on the fat burn max setting, and though it was harder than last night, I still hardly burn any calories. I am going to keep doing it though because I think it works more than my HRM shows. After that I did 15 minutes of weights and burned almost as many calories as I did on the bike! It was a nice end to a nice day. I hope to stay on track tomorrow. We’re seeing Monsters VS Aliens in 3D! Gotta show those boys that straight A’s are fun =]
And, I totally got that glorious chicken!!! Woot!
Night chickies!
