I have so many things to do today, and I am afraid I am going to forget them, so I am listing them here…
-plan BBall party
-run 6 miles
-clip coupons
-meal plan
-grocery shop
-laundry
-clean up for company
-make dinner… hubby’s friend will be joining us.
-cut boys hair, followed by prompt scrubbing
-call Aunt and thank her for gorgeous jewelry box
-make time for BFF this evening

I think that’s all. Really, all I want to do is go for my run and then come home and do nothing. :)

SO yesterday turned out mostly ok. I got my haircut (thank gawd! it was 2 trims overdue!) and that ran over, so we were late getting to the gym for my son’s game, thankfully just before the game actually started. I had to take him alone cause the 3yo was feeling sick! again! He had a fever, but feels better today, so that is good. I am finally getting around to selling my bikes from last weekend. Too bad we didn’t get to ride yesterday because of the rain. I settled for McDonald’s, but did the cheeseburger and apple dipper kids meal. Could be better, could be worse. I TRIED to go to the gym at the community center, and OMG, I wanted to beat the kids there! There was a baby shower, and everyone brought there kids and were just letting them run around the other areas, including the fitness center. This one little boy would not stop talking to me, literally poking me on my leg while I was on the elliptical. ARGH! I told him to go get his Mom, and he brought back another little boy, who then started to talk to me as well. I was done, so my workout yesterday blew. It was a little less than half an hour. What makes these parents think it is ok to not supervise their children?!

Ok, I guess I better map my run and get this party started.

Well, I mapped my run and then WHAM! rain. So, I don’t know what I am going to do about that. Honestly, my right shin has been bugging me, so maybe I’ll just do 6 miles tomorrow. That is if the weather cooperates. I did clip coupons for the 1st time, and surprisingly saved almost $10. And, I didn’t buy anything I wouldn’t normally get anyway. Pretty sa-weet! I am making some YUMMY blueberry muffins right now with lots of flax meal and whole wheat flour. I’m also baking the son some healthy chocolate chip muffins. We’ll see if he is fooled or if he passes on them. hehe.

I guess I still have quite a bit to do, so I’ll get to it. I’m making tacos and burritos for dinner tonight! mmmmm

Well, I get what I deserve for bragging about the weather… RAIN! More freakin rain! And we had a long bike ride planned for today. Boo! Now I’m going to have to go the gym for my hour of crosstraining. Which is ok, just totally not as cool as hanging out with my cool son! Speaking of cool son, he has day one of the tournament today in basketball… another 30 minute drive, which in this rain will take close to an hour, and it is at 12:30! Lunch time. I am determined to buy snacks and NOT to eat out. This could get ugly, as it will be 4 on 1, but I think I can take em!

Today is a rest day, and I am so unmotivated to do anything! My house is in desperate need of some tidying, and yet here I sit… I need to meal plan and grocery shop, and yet here I sit… Running motivates me to start my days. It’s crazy; I literally plan my days around my runs. I am supposed to have a friend over today and then we are going to lunch, so the picking up HAS to happen. Maybe in a little bit :) In my defense, I have already cleaned and vacuumed out the car this morning. After our fast food debauchery last night on the drive home, the car was NASTY! It’s amazing what three boys (ok, and me) can do to a car by eating in the dark! ha!

Last night my hubby was giving me a rub and I asked if he could notice any difference in my body. He said that my legs were so much stronger. I have always thought my legs were strong, so I asked what he meant. Was he implying my legs were fat before? And he said, “um, not so much fat as flabby.” Yes he did. So of course I am like… uh, seriously? Being that I am a spaz, I immediately think oh man, he must have totally been grossed out. And this is the analogy he gave me: you know that you love carrot cake… any carrot cake really. you love it. ok, now say Paula Dean came and made you some AMAZING carrot cake. it would be SO fabulous, and you would notice that it was better than the old carrot cake, but that doesn’t mean that you didn’t totally love the old carrot cake and think it was perfect. HAHAHAH Can you tell he knows me too well?! Food analogies, I love em. The thing about my hubby is that he is always so nice to me. I am always beautiful and perfect and doing a great job according to him, so when he says things that are even remotely negative it catches me off guard. I know, I’m a spaz. And even worse, I am a spaz that is craving carrot cake!!!

Okay, I am going to actually go be productive. Maybe I will reward myself with a carrot cake clif bar if I am uber productive… :)

I have had the bestest day! Went to lunch with my old work friend, Sandy and got all caught up (as much as we could with my 3 year old CONSTANTLY talking!). It was also awesome that one of the first things she said to me was how thin I looked. :) We were almost done with lunch when the hubbs called and told me not to worry about getting the boys and to drop Eli off and then go shopping or the movies or something! I was on my way home to drop him off before I hung up!!! So I went shopping and got a new purse, a new nightie (the hubby was nice enough to let me go shopping, so he shall be rewarded), 2 pairs of cute Osh Kosh jeans on sale for each of the younger two boys, a cook book stand, some movies for the boys and some toys, and some HAWT sunglasses. Random, I know… I didn’t need any of that stuff! Then we went to the movies and saw the New In Town movie (I think that’s the name) and it was cute. Total chick flick. I dropped my friend off at her car and was off to get a haircut, but when I get there my chick was gone. Maybe I should make an appointment… So, a total me day and I loved it. Now I am home and going to cuddle up to a good book. Yay for girl days!

I had a 3 mile run scheduled today, and after the killer 5 miles yesterday, I was wondering how it would go. I got the lil man ready, packed up the jogging stroller, grabbed some water and off we went. We did my favorite beach run (same as yesterday) and that 3 miles? It was CAKE! Like literally. How is that possible? I remember a few months ago wanting so badly to be able to run 3 miles, and now it is easy… even pushing a stroller! So that 5 miles? In just a few weeks it’ll be just the same. Cake! How crazy is that?!

I treated myself to In N Out today. I know, so worng but SO right! I haven’t had anything like that in a long time, and I passed on the fries so not too much damage was done. Unless you count the fun size candies I sampled as I was making goodie bags for the basketball game tonight. My belly hurts now. Boo! I know why I did it, too. The not so great convo with the ex. He seriously has nerve. No more though. This is just a bump, and I am over it!

I am looking forward to my rest day tomorrow!!

Okay, so we had a basketball game tonight (which was a total nail biter, but we pulled it off!) and it was half an hour away. But, that half an hour turned into pretty much an hour thanks to traffic and RAIN, which is the archnemesis of California roads apparently. So, we ate out. For the SECOND time today. I tried to be good. Then I ate a few fries. And then a biscuit. ICK. I am so, so, SO grossed out at myself right now. If I weighed myself I bet I would weigh 685.42 pounds (or approximately thereabout). I have got to get this shit in check!

I know all of you are moaning about the snow… and I am sorry I have to do this, but OMG, I almost died of a heat stroke today! It was SO effin hot on my run!!! The hubby came home early and took lil man so I could run stroller free! YAY! I went to the beach and ran FIVE miles. As in FIVE! I have never run that far before! Anyhow, I couldn’t keep my HR down and I was sweating balls. Sheesh. I think it was only like 75* today, but the sun was pounding down. I had sunscreen on, but I still got a little burned.

So, in other news… I ran 5 miles and lived! hahaha Okay, that isn’t so much other news.

Oh, and weigh in was today… down another pound! Without even counting one single calorie. YAY!

Just saw Running on the Sun and I am MOTIVATED! Not to run 135 miles, cause that is just damn dumb, but definitely to run 13.1 :-) My fav was the Marine… how sweet was he?! I love people that don’t throw fits when things go bad, and even more, people that are there for total strangers! LOVE him!

So, we all know I have a (mostly) fabulous hubby. Well, he wants to help me plan my routes. Yay! Love that. Today he wanted me to run by the lake, an easy 3 mile course that lil man would enjoy and wouldn’t be too difficult in the jogging stroller (it is hard to turn when the wheel is locked for jogging, which eliminates running through my neighborhood with him). Well, there was a mix up about the route… he told me a dirt path after I made it to the main road. There is a little shortcut that is dirt, so I took that. Well after I turn on the lakeside road, there was another dirt path. I didn’t know if I should take it, it looked questionable, but so I went straight on the road. But, then I changed my mind and went back to the dirt path. Well, the path was ok for about half a mile, and then WHAM. Crap. It was all rocky and the stroller was bouncing all over, and it was predominately UPHILL, which I specifically mentioned I’d rather not have in the stroller. So at this point it is too late to turn around and so I keep going. Then, the dirt path turns into SAND! Do you know how ridiculously hard it is to run pushing a stroller uphill in the sand. Literally my only motivation for continuing was the fantasy of KILLING my hubby that was playing in my mind! I was so MAD! So I keep on and then the worst… the path splits into two… one steep uphill (which there is NO way I could have done) and one steep downhill. I figured I had run enough and turned around. The run back was MUCH better! I get home and map it out and I ran 2.68 miles instead of 3, but I think that is good enough considering. I think that run counts as my weight training today, too! Sheesh!

I am like that creepy lil Hunger Monster that WW advertises… I can NOT stop snacking today! Thank gawd I need to go to the store so there isn’t much damage to do. Seriously, how many times in one day can I eat pb and carrots? Somebody STOP me!

What a farse! I scheduled a carpet cleaning and of course they are coming TOMORROW! Which means I have to deep clean the dining room to put my living room furniture in there in time for the cleaning tomorrow. I have finished about half of the dining room so far and already my arms are aching from the scrubbing! Sheesh! I feel like a lil scrubbing bubble. :)

In brighter news, I do believe today is a true rest day, no cross training even, and for that I am thankful. I am going to have a hellacious 5 weeks of running to prep for a half marathon. Eek! Tomorrow is 3 miles, the next day 5, Thursday is another 3 miler, 1hr of cross training Saturday, and then 6 miles on Sunday! The farthest I have ever run at once was a little over 4 miles, so we’ll see. I’ll pretty much know if this is do-able or not after this week. What am I talking about? It IS do-able! Worst case senario, I will walk! :-)

I am going to run the Inagural Disney Princess Half Marathon on March 8th! Can I do it? Who knows?! But I’m gonna try! My marathin training for that day calls for a 10 mile run, and that is pretty close :) Yay! I’m so excited!

I’m making dinner right now and I swear, I could eat a horse!! I got up this morning and searched to find a new bike, after which a road trip to retrieve it ensued. hehe I am spoiled thing. So, got my bike and then came home to go for my run. Sunday is push day. Thankfully I am at the beginning, so I only had to run 40 minutes today. I decided to make it an uphill nightmare… 4 uphill jaunts in the run… and I pulled out 3.28 miles in exactly 40 minutes. That is about a 12 minute mile average, which blows, but considering the hill terrain isn’t that bad. I made a big salad and then headed off with my son to try out my new bike. Can I just say that was 5 miles of HELL! The bike is too small for me, even thought it is the size I thought I needed, and my girly bits were numb, not to mention my hands. ARGH! So, stopped by the bike shop on the way back and dude confirmed I am too tall for my bike. Long story short, got another bike :) Now I need to sell my new ill fitting one. Anyhow, I was a calorie scorching queen today. And now I am making dinner and salivating…

My weight was down a pound this morning. I forgot to weigh in last week, so we’ll see where I am Wednesday. I heart not counting calories! I feel much better concentrating on putting in good foods and nothing else. I need fuel to be a kick ass runner!

My Aunt is planning on coming for a visit… in 2 weeks! Eek! Can you say major organizing/cleaning fest this week?!
