Drip, drip, drip…
Uncategorized 2 Comments »So I had the BEST massage EVER last night and didn’t want to waste it, therefore putting off a run yesterday. I know, bad news betty. But, it was kind of a good thing because I am getting back in my “first thing in the morning run” routine. I got up early this morning (not of my own devices… my 3 year old doesn’t understand daylight savings time, and he simply refuses to accept it!) and got all dressed and ready to go. I opened the door and… RAIN! In San Diego rain is a rare thing. I never check the weather here like I did in Oklahoma… no need to! It’s the same temperature nearly every day. I was going to come back in and hop on the treadmill and then I thought, wait! I am totally gonna rock this! And so I threw up the hood on the ole OU hoodie, tied it tight around my face to protect my ipod, and away I went. I did my usual morning mile and a half plus I went a block farther, so whatever that is. I am trying for a block further every week at least. The moral of the story is I totally ROCKED that run and I feel like a complete badass now! It’s amazing how a little rain can motivate you. (Oh, and getupnow ran in the rain, and we all know how I aspire to run like her ;-))
I ate pretty well yesterday, but I had a little too much after the boys got out of school. It’s because I spent my lunch in an audit meeting that was supposed to end at 11. UGH. I had some yogurt and blueberries and then a banana, but that was not so much a satisfying lunch. I made up for it by skipping dinner and having a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup after my massage. I think for the day as a whole it went pretty well, but I am back to slacking on the documentation of what I eat. Note to self: WRITE down what you EAT! Gosh!
