Weekend Plan for June 18-20th
Plan June 18th, 2010Well, I’m actually home for 4 days in a row and couldn’t be happier about it! Unlike last weekend I’m not arriving home exhausted late on a Friday, nor taking a super-early flight on Monday, so I can actually relax and enjoy myself.
I’m also anxious to get my new purse so I want to keep going on weight loss so I’m thinking specifically about the weekend’s plans.
This weekend is not particularly challenging - aside from my stepson’s theatre group performance (snack afterward) there aren’t too many social obligations, and I can manage the food well as long as I buy some (fridge is pretty bare this morning!)
My goals for this weekend :
- Stock up on lots of fresh foods, especially the organic veggies, berries & other lovely things at the local outdoor market. This I will do today and repeat on Sunday.
- Cook! Haven’t done much of this lately, and I miss it. Also my cooking will mean reducing temptations of eating out.
- Exercise each day : Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday! Finally ready for a multi-day exercise committment, woo-hoo! Also have the time to do it for a change.
- Do not work this weekend (I’m behind on several things, but I need BALANCE)
How about you?
What things are you planning to do this weekend to keep your weight loss goals in balance with other things happening in your life?

It’s a celebration weekend for us. Today is our 37th anniversary, and Sunday is Father’s day as well as the day our two youngest grandkids are being baptized. I ran a long run this morning, will bike 13 mi with DH this afternoon, and will exercise tomorrow and Sunday, too. I, too would like to break the 190 barrier and am planning to eat on program. My hardest challenge will be the brunch out, after church on Sunday, but I think I’ll eat my regular cereal & fruit breakfast before and then order the simplest egg dish possible plus fruit. I can do this! And so can you. I’m glad you have a long weekend. I know it was sorely needed!

It’s a good thing I came to your page, I think I am slowly finding the motivation I needed to take my butt to the gym after work. (I skipped my regular lunch time routine since I was so busy.)Well my plans for the weekend including going to the gym with a friend tomorrow at 7am for a kickboxing class that lasts til 9am. After that we have a 30 minute ab class, then after that we have an hour cardio/weight lifting class. Needless to say I’m skipping Zumba tomorrow. The only temptation I can think of will be hubby’s cheesecake in the fridge from his birthday a few days ago. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions. I like your goals you listed and I hope you can stick to them! Thanks for checking in on me!

My husband and I have our Friday night date which is going to the gym and then to dinner! Saturday our son is coming by to celebrate Father’s Day a bit early so will BBQ, I planned a healthy menu. Sunday we have a family BBQ (2 birthdays plus Father’s Day) with another healthy menu - I will be wanting to join in on the cocktails…but I will abstain for the good of my metobolism.
Have a great weekend!

Well, I’m working this weekend (as usual) but Sarah, the quiche I made this week for my weekend “healthy grab and go” food - I used gruyere this time and oh my goodness! This is sooooo good! Why did I never think of it before? I’m so glad you suggested it!!!

This could be a tough weekend for me because several meals will be out of my control. Today we go to a surprise party that includes dinner and I don’t expect it to be healthy. Tomorrow is Father’s Day so my husband gets to choose the menu or restaurant. But I am going to do my best:)

You are so strong… I’d have already loaded my crap in that purse and made some excuse for my lack of weight loss. With self control like that, you can’t help but succeed!
